  1. Possibly. I didn't have THAT many, but it's all relative I guess. How many are too many? Anyway, I just finished playing through the game (BG1 Tutu, BG2 and ToB), with Ajantis in the party most of the time. I usually don't play with a female main character but it was a fun change. Ajantis' banters and romance in both BG1 and BG2 were really good and I commend you for your work, Jastey. It seems like you really have a good idea about how Ajantis should be (and also the other characters he banters with), it feels consistent and real (as much as a fantasy computer rpg can be real anyway). An Ajantis ToB-expansion would of course be awesome and I hope to see it in the future. It felt a bit empty in ToB, when Ajantis didn't say anything. I must admit his paladin goody-two-shoesness was a bit frustrating at times, even though I played a good character (chaotic good). It would be fun, if the Ajantis romance is far gone, if the PC could convince him or something would happen so that he would choose the PC over the church. I suppose that would make him a fallen paladin... but that's not my point... I think... my point is that it would be interesting to be able to widen his horizons, making him less narrow-minded and more open to alternative solutions to quests, including the non-legal solutions. I dunno... just thinking. Parts of the Ajantis story is hauntingly similar to a story in a paper-and-pen rpg campaign I'm currently playing (a campaign I wrote and am now leading). One of the players play a paladin-like character, much like Ajantis. While in a far away land he falls in love with a noble woman and sorcerer. The paladin is of strong faith, belonging to a strict knight order, and the woman he falls for is of a different religion and a different culture. Still, they decide to marry once he gets approval from his parents. In their journeys they eventually end up in the paladin's homeland and they visit his old estate, but his father, who is a bishop, refuse to accept that his son would marry a non-believer, and a sorcerer and foreigner at that, and he would rather burn the woman as a witch (this is a world where magic is very rare). The paladin is forced to choose between his faith/family/knight-order and his love. He chooses love (aaawww) and renounces his family. He ceases to be a paladin, and is no longer his father's son. He eventually regains his faith and a place in the church (though not as a paladin) and he marries his love, but he has still not been accepted back to his family (though he hasn't seen his father since he renounced him, five years ago). I would want to make one more comment, about the music. The romance music should be optional I think. I love the LOTR soundtrack, I really do (I'm a big film music enthusiast), but it doesn't really fit the BG music style. I suppose I should advertise for my brother's music, he sometimes makes music for my rpg campaign (though I couldn't say if it's more fitting for Ajantis or not - but I can honestly say he does good music). You can check it out here anyway: http://www.myspace.com/simonhusberg (the song "Love Theme" is the song he wrote for the love story of the paladin I just wrote about) and http://www.myspace.com/simoncomposer ("Feanea and Grim" is the same song as "Love theme" but with more instruments). Though not all of his music can be found there. I'm sure he'd be glad to let you use the music if you ask (he does it for free anyway). Well, just wanted to let you know. End of advertisement. So, my favorite part of the Ajantis npc project and romance? Well, I think it was all good, like I said... the drow chastity belt was great, and teasing Ajantis for it was fun. But one other thing in particular comes to mind. From BG1, I think it's quite early in the romance and Ajantis gives the PC a flower or something and she tells him to put it on her belt (I think it was her belt), and she notices him shaking nervously while he does it. I feel for him. Were I in his position I would be shaking nervously too. All right, that's it. Sorry for the long post. And thanks for this mod. Good luck. /Lesten
  2. Would that I remember which variables I changed. If I recall correctly the priest never appeared in the Helm temple after I got the rings (even though alot of time had passed). I used Shadowkeeper to open an old save that took place right after Ajantis talked to his parents. I just changed a few variables for my latest save and replaced them with the ones from the old save. Since I wasn't sure which variables I needed to change I may have changed more than I needed to. I think I removed the ones that stated I had chosen the ring and I think I also set back the C#AJANTISLOVETALK to the value of the old save. That way I had to repeat a few lovetalks and choose the rings again but the priest showed up fine that time. I remember I compared practically every Ajantis-related variable from the old save with the new one, and changed every value I thought could be related to the priest-problem. Another strange thing happened. The gem bag I got from Ajantis empties every now and then and everything in it disappears, so I kept loosing stuff I put in there. Later I found the gem back and probably a dozen wedding rings on the ground in the Wuakeen Promenade. Weird... PS. I got the locket for the hair. Thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks for the answers. It worked out, though I think it got stuck somewhere but I managed to solve it by editing some variables with Shadow Keeper. With the risk of looking like an idiot not being able to figure things out myself... I have another question. But this is probably the last one --- POSSIBLE SPOILERS --- Where do I get the locket for Ajantis? I've asked practically every merchant and craftsman I could find...
  4. Ok thanks. I have another question now. Sorry if I'm being a bother. --POSSIBLE SPOILERS-- I'm at the point in the ajantis romance where his parents have showed up, disapproving of the marriage. Ajantis thinks about it for a while and then decides he and charname should marry anyway, so he gets her a ring. Now, I may not have read the last LT as carefully as I should have - I was tired and in the middle of another quest, but Ajantis said something about marrying soon and he mentioned a priest I think. I did some quests (in Trademeet) and now I'm back in Athkatla. Anyway, am I suppose to find the priest that should marry Ajantis and charname? Where is he? Looked in the Helm temple and found noone. LT is 33. Thanks again PS. is there a guide of sorts for this romance? Just a list with the LT numbers and initial dialogs would be helpful.
  5. Hello. I have a question about the Ajantis-quest. I got the golden globe and used it, but I didn't step through the portal, because I was injured and wasn't ready for whatever was on the other side. I finished the Windspear hills quests and returned to Athkatla... but now when I use the globe the portal opens but I don't get the option to enter it. So how do I continue the quest? How do I get through the portal? Thanks Edit: Oh... I went back to Windspear Hills and it seems to work now... so I have to be at that location to use the portal properly?
