Are there any mods that...

Do anything like the following ;

 

-Give mages/paladins/rangers/shamans bonus spell slots based on int/wisdom

 

-Allow paladins/rangers to cast spells using their full character level (so a level 9 paladin would have a caster level of 9, instead of 1)

 

-Let bards attack while bard song is active and/or make bard song more effective than just replicating the effects of the level 1 resist fear spell

 

-Let bards cast spells in armour

 

-Increase the mouse scroll speed past the max (still feels too slow even at max for me)

 

-Remove friendly fire damage from spells

 

-Allow some kind of fighter/sorcerer combination...possibly by making a mage kit that functions exactly like a sorcerer so you can do a fighter/mage with the sorcerer kit? I know EE keeper lets you do multi classes with kits but that probably only works with vanilla kits.

Yes. Bards casting spells in armor, is there in BG2 Tweaks... erhm, Tweaks Anniversary mod.

There's no, and will never be a Fighter/Sorcerer class, and a Sorcerer is a class of it's own, so there is likely never going to be a Fighter/Sorcerer. There can ba Sorcerer kits like the Dragonsinger that combines somethings with Sorcerer, but that's a different thing.

There's nothing friendly about area of effect spells, they effect everyone.

RogueRebalance has a bard songs that have longer lasting effect, but the singing is a modal state, meaning it needs to be upkept just like the clerics Turn Undead to be effective.

The bard kits have different spells as their songs... among a regenarating song, luck, confusion, doom etc spells.

Put 18 to your mages Wisdom, level them up to 17-19th level, raise his Wisdom to 22 during your game play and Cast Wish... after which he can cast endless spells at the drop of a hat, and his party. Not that that OP cause you can do the same during your ToB adventure with the Bhallspawn power that pulls you to the pocket plane.

Im talking about not making stuff like fireball affect everyone. I find the AOE damage spells largely useless...sunfire is a great example of this. Why would I want to nuke my own party...when i can cast stuff like chaos that only affects enemies? The fact that AOE disables only affect enemies just make them flat out superior for dealing with groups of enemies.

 

Using wish isnt nearly the same thing as getting bonus spells based on INT.

Scales of Balance, and recent beta builds of Tome & Blood (same technique in each mod, just different values for INT scores)

Might & Guile, Tome & Blood

Working on multi sorcerers... don't hold your breath though.

gemrb allows for some of this, but it's a big load to swallow.

You mean that yes, it allows one to make Fighter/Sorcerer ... but you have to code that yourself, and a few parts of the main game, so one has the entire option to do that, but it takes some learning... that only you'll be able to provide. .

I was refering mostly to the other points, but yes, a proper fighter/sorcerer is a simple weidu mod away.

Go ahead then and make that weidu mod, cause it's impossible. See the game does not have a Fighter/Sorcerer -class, so it's impossible to do in the regular EE game engine, nor in the nonEE...

Why the strawman? Read everything ...

Well, you left out a few words out of the above post. Like the fact that you were refering to a GemRB only mod. So assuming some people could go and not read the whole above conversation and come up with "Fighter/Sorcerer" is just a single easy to make weidumod away from them on their PC within the BG2EE. Why hasn't anyone made one yet. No, I won't dignify that sentense with the implied question mark...

On the topic of fighter/sorcerers, wouldnt it be possible to make a mage kit that has spontaneous spellcasting? I know that the game can handle sorcerers with mage kits (they get the bonus spell slot and everything).

 

I figured out how to make damage spells not do friendly fire damage, you have to edit the associated projectile. Im guessing no mod out there does this though? Its pretty time consuming to edit everything in near infinity.

On the topic of fighter/sorcerers, wouldnt it be possible to make a mage kit that has spontaneous spellcasting?

This is a class feature, coded directly into the .exe or one of the .dll's or what ever and so kinda impossible to edit without ripping the game engine appart and start a new.

Well you can make a spell that then makes the caster to cast one of number of spells, but that's not as simple as Sorcerer. So you get Fighter/worse-than-original-Sorcerer. Which is less than.
