As per excellent suggestion by Jenova in another thread ;) And don't be afraid to comment, heh.

EDIT: I guess, I should say that my personal dislike is reserved for Diriel. He is fun to write, of course, but he is a bigot. :(

I think I like them all. From the first impression, Valeero is rather naive and a bit sanctimonious at times, but maybe there's more to her. I like what I've seen of the other nine, though I'd prefer Keldorn and Cernd to Nord. :(

Probably Salomeya.

She has nothing nice to say about the PC or anyone else, and she demands constant attention. I wouldn't bother with her, but she's central to most of the plotlines, so you don't get as much content if you just leave her behind.

She kind of reminds me of that one pretty girl everyone seems to have known at one point or another, the one that surrounds herself with nothing but overweight, ugly girls to look better by comparison.

But she does have great dialogue. Fantastic, really.

Domi, you asked for it ;)

There would be two of the NPCs I would strangle if you gave me the choice but since I can pick just one...

Salomeya.

First of all I want to make sure nobody will get me wrong, she is a wonderful character 'couse she inflicts emotions - even being a bunch of pixels and a bit of imagination.

She is one of those girls/women that would make me cry in frustration if ever met in real life.

Everytime she looks at Jaemal, starts to sing, comments on something completly unimportant to other people...just everytime she opens her big mouth I would stuff snow in it...just how cold-hearted and souless one can get? I mean, come on, even Rizdaer, a drow, cares about something more than "What a shame about that cat...it would make a perfect fur for my collection" :)

Like I said - she just makes me cry and it was the last time I took her along with Jaemal, I simply hate it when people are kicking someone who is already down. ???

The other NPC I...well, maybe not hate, but dislike is Nikosh. Don't know why exactly but I guess it is the fact that he makes me think he cares for nothing more than a good meal, ancient artefact and his own safety. Maybe I misinterpret his character or play the wrong types of PC's but he is to grey and shallow (grey is good, so is a bit of shallowness[am I creating new words? :(] but two of those in one person is too much for me to take).

Just my two cents (or coppers, or whatever :bday:)

I think Diriel would be a better comparison here. He actually does feel sorry for the cat, and he is probably the most evil NPC in the pack, lol.

I didn't vote. I like them all:)

I didn't give Diriel as an example because he, even being evil, is very emotional (he likes, he hates, he adores and he cares for many things) while Rizdaer has that "*shrug* I don't give a damn" atitude (witch fits him like a glove, by the way).

Thank you! for putting in words what I've been trying to figure out in my own mind for the past day or so. :(

Hmmm... Emotional? In a way, yes. I agree on Rizdaer, though. But I presume you have been romancing Jaemal anyway. And I think Rizd is emotional too, when it comes to... Hm. 'Some things':(.

Nikosh has a talent. That's *the* bright streak in him. The rest of him is a very traditional Tolkienesque halfling. He's a decidedly small person in a big world, and is scared. If you want to see more to Nikosh, him with Hildury-Nord has some interesting stuff, and there is some flirting for a female halfling or a gnome in his dialogues. Believe it or not, but I thought he was the third romance if I was to go for the thirds. I also like his stuff with Valeero in particular. But overoll, yes, he's meant to be as common and as inoffensive as possible, so you are reading him exactly right.

It's Driel, for me. I still haven't been able to finish a game with him.

His dialog is lovely, and he's amusing- and I just want to hit him. Even my evil female elves want to hit him. I can't get over the fact that in the end, I just want to hit him to actually roleplay, I suppose. ^^;

For me it was Salomeya.

Most of her dialogue, well, I could tell it was intended to be witty, but it just fell short of the mark for me. My general reaction to her comments was, "Umm...okay." I'm told I have a weird sense of humor though. I also was a little disappointed in the PC responses. There wasn't enough of a chance for the PC to get the upper hand on the conversations, which should have happened every now and then.

Eventually I found myself just clicking through her dialogue without reading it, which was really a shame considering the time that I am sure went into writing it. So I dropped her for Nikosh, and now am much happier. I actually rather like Nikosh.

I voted for Nord, because it feels like he never stops cursing - constant battle cries in which he curses, whenever he gets hurt... Every time I finish a battle, well... The sad thing is, NPCs get hurt so often that the ones who say a LOT each time they get hit end up constantly talking, so it's just a flood of sound and subtitles throughout the battle. And I found that suddenly I was getting a lot fewer headaches once I started a new game without Nord in the party.

You can set the sounds to trigger less frequent through customization menues. :(

Even their 'injured' sounds? Didn't realize that, I thought it was only for selected, battle cries, and directions... Will have to double-check, thanks!

You are welcome :(

All part of his 'duty' for his Mistress ???

I yet have to take Valeero for a longer run. She was in my party for a short period of time because I often play as a cleric myself and when I don't I find myself picking Diriel instead (can't get enough of "Uuu...is that your spleen?" :bday:).

So maybe if I will have Nikosh, Valeero, Sir Nord, Hildury and play as a halfling myself I will change my mind ;)

And since I won't be taking Jaemal for a change I might take Salomeya as well and give her *yet* another chance.

With so many combinations I think I will never stop playing IWDII
