small bugs in SR v4beta13

ProElemental Energy is fixed only on my current build, not the uploaded one. :(

Sorry for all the confusion, I'll upload a new build today (edit: tomorrow).

well... maybe today? (pretty please)

I encountered a lot of problems (long story) but I can give you a link in the meanwhile: let's call it b13.1

It's not the full new B14 because I had to roll back to the old build and slowly re-add everything. For now it contains the following upgrades over b13:

- Update to WeiDU 239

- various minor fixes

- fixed an issue with shaman spells being applied to all divine spellcasters

- fixed a compatibility issue with Dispelling Screen and EE

- Icelance's projectile animation fixed, scroll range fixed, new sound effect

- Summon Shambling Mound icon fixed

- ProElemental Energy was not working correctly (missing 2da file)

- Vitriolic Sphere added to 4th lvl spells (School: Conjuration)

- Shadow Door's "maze" effect no longer has a save penalty (it was -4)

Sorry for my usual messy (an understatement) release schedules. :(

it's not a problem, I was just wondering what's happenin'. I'll wait for the full next version.

Hey Demi, in b13.1, is it possible that the fixed Dispelling Screen is only "self" target now? Or is it intended?

I doubt that's intended, but it works fine on my install...I don't think Demi tweaked this.

I haven't tweaked it, afaik it has always worked as a spell centered on the caster (30' AoE).

@Salk, it's a really long story of trial and errors and RL issues. Don't worry, I'm fixing most of it.

it's "personal" cast for me now :( Don't know what happened, it was 30' AoE before. Plus, all the mages cast "Remove Magic" now instead of Dispel Magic, and I'm quite sure, after extensive testing, that dispelling screen doesn't get dispelled after a Remove Magic. It has be removed with something like Spell Thrust instead right now.

I uninstalled everything yesterday and re-installed, but I didn't open the game in-between, could it have affected anything? I only fetched the dialog.tlk and chitin.key files from Steam when the game was clean, then re-installed mods.

weidu (Yes I know, I forgot to install tweaks before SCS :D next time I will, I swear!) :

It says beta v11 but I used the b13.1 rar file.

And "mycustomitem" is a small tweak made by kreso for Vithal (his script) and the crooked crane lich's fear which was bugged.

I opened EE Keeper, and all versions of Dispelling Screen in there say "Range: Personal" :(

Odd. I've tested it today (on old engine), it works fine; I've checked the code, unaltered. Remove magic shouldn't even exist in the game anymore. Description of DS is also unchanged. I'll check it out on EE2...

One thing - when you downloaded SR, the archive has a folder named spell_rev, an .exe file and a blue Gibberling.exe file.

Did you run the blue Gibberling file, by any chance?

P.S.

Don't run the Blue Gibberling. Sorry for the inconvinience... @Demi, remove the blue Gibberling file from the package.

My 2 exes in the "Spell Revisions" archive are

setup-spell_rev.exe

spell_rev-v4-beta13.exe

pretty sure I ran spell_rev-v4-beta13.exe

Was it wrong? :p

Why is this exe there? lol

Ask Demi, not me :undecided:

But wait for next version.

Well I also have your new version of SCS SR 30 to install. I'm quite impatient to try it!

Alright, I'll wait. This version does make me significantly stronger though, what with Dispelling Screen not being removed by dispel magic :p

I'll work on Necro buffs tomorrow afternoon, when that is done I'll upload a new build. Maybe (this will take an hour at least, and I don't know if I'll have that time or be able to do it at all) I'll add Energy Drain usage. ETA tomorrow 19 hours, with or without Energy Drain.

There are some issues with petrification and slow type - spells. As it stands, no item or spell in the game will protect you from getting petrified  . Likewise, haste-slow countering each other somtimes fail to work for some reason. Subtledoctor helped me with some code I needed to do this flawlessly so it will be done this afternoon.

Speaking about petrification, I'll also tweak (greater) basilisk AI somewhat. Now they'll petrify you and then chew on you. :D
