lac
Let me give you an example. Say you have memorised the following 4th level spells: Lesser Restoration, Cure Serious Wounds, Cloak of Fear, Free Action, Cure Serious Wounds in this order. Then you go up in level, and whether or not you get a new 4th level spell, your 4th level spells are reordered to: Cloak of Fear, Cure Serious Wounds, Cure Serious Wounds, Free Action, Lesser Restoration, (and your new blank spot, if you learned a new 4th level spell). Thus they are sorted in 'alphabetical -- or at least how they are listed in the spellbook order' not 'how I chose to memorise them order'. This leaves LR as the first spell you lose when you get level-drained, defeating the purpose of learning it first. Laura Link to comment
