Some issues with V6

SOA+TOB+patch26498+Fixpack V6 with Hotfix (All components)

Problems:

1.Protection From Magical Energy uses the icon and string of Spell Shield. Both on portraits and Record screens. Only the Spell Shield icon is displayed if both spells have been cast.

2. Stunned, Charmed, Feembleminded, etc. icons and strings still displayed even the character is immune to certain effects (i.e. enraged). This is supposed to be fixed (Beta Core Fixes). The "x levels drained" information will still show itself even the character is immune to level drain.

Suggestions:

1.A special version of rogue stone should be found in the Guarded Compound (whether on Koshi or not, which doesn't matter) . Otherwise the dialogue (something like "we are in the bridge district of athkatla...") with Shangalar makes no sense. I remember that the Baldurdash fixpack has this little bug fixed.

2.Torgerias is chaotic good. Does this guy show any aspect of good in the game? I suggest to change his alignment to neutral. Killing good guys makes me feel guilty...

Thank you for your hard work!

That sounds rather strange, at least if you don't have any other mods installed. Fixpack swaps the two icons, so it's not inconceivable that something else has changed Protection from Magic Energy to use the old icon (which would be the Spell Shield one). That Spell Shield really does display the Spell Shield icon, rather than the Protection from Magic Energy icon (like it does without Fixpack), also indicates that there is something else affecting this.

But if Fixpack is the only mod you have, it's a rather puzzling issue.

That also sounds like some other mod could be the cause (by overwriting with old versions of e.g. Enrage).

I'm rather hesitant about offering suggestions for how to solve these issues, mainly because the best I can think of goes along the lines of wiping the override directory and starting over (which is rather overkill).

(Yeah, I'm done not being helpful now.)

I reinstalled the game and tried once more. This time it works fine. It's odd since the environment seems to be the same. Maybe I had messed up something?

I'm sorry if I had brought any trouble to you.

About Skull Trap:

The range is 20 yards according to its description. I have no idea how long that should be. The fixpack has changed its range. Now it seems to be similar with the visual range of the caster. Is Skull Trap supposed to work this way?

Another suggestion:

The last OBC component is to change Free Action to protect against stun. How about another option to prevent items with Free Action effect from protecting against stun.

Skull Trap originally had Range 15 for the very first level (the lowest level caster), but every other level had Range 35. Fixpack changes the first level casting to match the higher levels (although personally, I think it should be 15 for all).

Per David Gaider's suggestion, Free Action items and spells should not block stun with a normal install of the fixpack (the original game was wildly inconsistent with this, so an OBC component exists to reverse the behavior and have all Free Action sources protect against stun). If you don't believe Free Action should provide protection from stun, you should only need to simply not install the OBC component.
