jester
I wonder what "widescreen" does to games with ancient resolutions. Link to comment
Avenger
Either nothing (when the patch doesn't work), or it just enlarges the useful game area like with any other IE game Link to comment
Avenger
JC: strange, i think i got the 2 cd version too, in any case, if you make your exe available somewhere, i might look for the offsets. Link to comment
the bigg
Did you apply the official patch? My torment.exe declares itself as 1.0.0.1, comment "Just because it's purple doesn't mean it's grape.". Avenger: I don't know how to tell the version of the game, so I cannot handle multiple versions, unfortunately. Link to comment
Avenger
1. filesize 2. the version is written in the file, so weidu can read the value from x. offset and compare it to a value. for example: if it is v55500 then the number 55500 is written at an offset in the file. You can also have multiple modules and let the user select their version. (Lazy way) Link to comment
CamDawg
bigg, check your PMs. I have the exact same issue as JC. Version reports itself just as bigg says--v1.0.0.1 with the purple comment. Link to comment
jcompton
Did you apply the official patch? The 2-disc rerelease is prepatched to 1.1, so you're really not supposed to install the 4-disc patch. Installing the patch allowed the widescreen mod to work, but then the game can't proceed beyond the "insert CD2" screen... Link to comment
