Gibberer
Does this only apply to BG1 or does it carry on to BG2? Also, is there a problem if you start with one NPC and then pick up another? Link to comment
Icendoan
I am not sure what you mean. The BG1NPC content only encompasses BG1TuTu or BGT, but BGT allows you to keep BG1 NPCs, but with no BG1NPC banter in SoA. With romances, no, you would terminate one romance to begin another. Icen So if I start with one NPC I would be unable to romance another unless I broke up with the first NPC or removed that NPC from the party? Also, do I need to start a new game after I download the mod? Lastly, I don't have BGT so SOA shouldn't be a factor but such a mod exists allowing me to keep a BG1 NPC into SOA? I'ld love to see Minsc ranting about the death of Dynaheir while she's right there! Link to comment
Gibberer
I probably should ask if my lack of BG Tutu means I shouldn't download the mod as I don't find it necessary to translate any more party members from BG/TOTSC to BG/SOA. Link to comment
Leomar
So if I start with one NPC I would be unable to romance another unless I broke up with the first NPC or removed that NPC from the party? Normally you can have one romance only. I don't know really, but I think, that leaving a NPC from the party is not enough. In the dialogs or if you force-talk with them you have an option to break the romance with the NPC. Also, do I need to start a new game after I download the mod? Yes, I recomend it, so you get all the added banters, interjections, etc. Lastly, I don't have BGT so SOA shouldn't be a factor but such a mod exists allowing me to keep a BG1 NPC into SOA? No. If you want to keep your NPCs you must install BGT and for NPCs, which are not shown up in BG2, you must install a BGT Tweaks component, too. I probably should ask if my lack of BG Tutu means I shouldn't download the mod as I don't find it necessary to translate any more party members from BG/TOTSC to BG/SOA. BG1 has no NPC banters, interjections, etc. like you know from BG2. That's why BG1 NPC Project was made. With this mod, your NPCs comes to live and you have much more happiness with them in BG1. But I think you must test it, if this one mod will be lacking more. Greetings Leomar Link to comment
Gibberer
Icen, Leomar, I appreciate all the help! So if I don't care about carrying into SOA but just want some actual dialog in BG and TOTSC I should download just BG1 NPC Project and the Music download or do I need to download something more? Domi
BG1NPC project will not work on just BG1 install. The game has to be converted to either BGT or TUTU form. This is because BG1 engine genrally lacks the capability to handle BG2-style interactions, so the engine has to be updated to BG2 first (hence Tutu or BGT conversion PRIOR to Bg1NPC project.) jastey
What Domi said. BG1NPC Project makes the BG1 NPCs for BG1, played on a BGII-engine conversion, more alive with banters, dialogues and romances. BG1NPC Project does not deal with the carrying over of BG1-NPCs to BGII at all. BG1 to BGII-engine conversions are two available. You need either one of them to play the BG1 content with BG1NPC Project: BG1Tutu (Pocket Plane Group): Converts BG1 as a separate game to the BGII-engine, that only contains BG1 content, like the original the game ends after the fight in the Undead City. To play BGII, you have to convert back and import your Tutu Character. BGT: merges BG1 and BGII as one game on the BGII engine. Both conversions have their own advantages and diasadvantages. If you want to stay with original BG1, the available NPC-expanding mods are little. The Ajantis expansion mod from my signature contains the Ajantis romance for original BG1, that is, as far as I know, the only content of the BG1NPC Project that was made available for original BG1. There is also a friendship mod for Xan which is compatible with BG1. Both mods add also to Tutu and BGT, btw. Link to comment
Domi
I think that our local wizards Berelinde and Cmorgan made Coran's friendship compatible with the vanilla BG1. Link to comment
Gibberer
So I need BGT(NOT the Pocket Plane version), BG1 NPC project, BG1 Romantic Encounters and a musical download to play the improved BG1 without having to convert back and forth? Could I beg for the links to each of them? Plus any other items I need but haven't asked for? Link to comment
jastey
I think that our local wizards Berelinde and Cmorgan made Coran's friendship compatible with the vanilla BG1.Cool! I didn't know that, sorry. BGT-WeiDU forum is here: http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?showforum=261 You'll have to read your way through. There is an install guide somewhere, but I am not firm with BGT installation so I am the wrong person to ask. There is no such thing as BG1 romantic encounters, as far as I know? Link to comment
Gibberer
So where do the LTs from Coran, Ajantis, Dynaheir, etc come from? Link to comment
Icendoan
They are from the BG1NPC project, but it only works on such game modifications as EasyTuTu and BGT. Icen Link to comment
Gibberer
Now I'm confused. Link to comment
Icendoan
What about?! It is very simple: The dialogues and romances with Coran/Dynaheir are from the BG1NPC Project, but that mod can only be installed properly on an install using the two BG1 conversion methods in my last post; EasyTuTu or BGT.
