I heard of some mod called Mur'Neth for Tutu, and decided to take a look. In this mod the NPC can polymorph into an ooze. New graphics were made by Khayman for the attack in the ooze form...

However, the BAM for the weapon in the ooze form is not showing (the standard Mustard Jelly one is) and it is just called Attack instead of Ooze Touch. I have checked the code and Mur'Neth should be polymorphing into a unique version of the Mustard Jelly, the CRE file for which has the correct attack assigned, which has the name correctly assigned and item BAM for the attack. :(

So, is there something hardcoded about polymorphing? Are the attacks always just called Attack? Can the item graphics not be changed, or something? If not, I'm not sure what's wrong...

The "weapon" is not always called Attack. Using Polymorph Self, the Ogre I turned into had a morning star with the right name. I was also able to replace the Sword Spider's normal attack with a club called club. :)

Do you equip the CRE you polymorph into with the ITM or do you use the Create Item effect? Polymorph Self uses Create Item.

I had equipped the CRE with it - I'll have a look and check I didn't overwrite the item using the spell! :)

Thanks for confirming it should work...

I just had a look at Polymorph Self again and the CREs all have weapons equipped which are immediately overwritten by a different weapon using CreateItem. I think you have to do it this way.

No problem.
