Filippo
Hi, I've looked through all the "revision"-mods and the content seems to be of really high quality. However, when I tried installing the Item revisions and Spell revisions (through Weidu) it didn't recognize the game. Error message: "This component is not compatible with your game". If needed I can upload some error msg and/or screencaps. * I have BG2:ee installed with the last patch 2.5 (not via client). * I tried installing it on regular BG2 and it worked fine. Any ideas? It was my understanding that it was fully compatible with BG2:ee? Thanks, and thanks for taking the time and effort to put out some great mods. Quote Link to comment
Bartimaeus
Both should be compatible, yes. Weidu log and item_rev.debug/spell_rev.debug, please. Quote Link to comment

Bartimaeus
Yep, you got it. I've never seen this problem before, but I bet some other modders have and probably have a better idea here. For a hacky solution that just removes the game engine requirements, you can try this item_rev.tp2 (place in item_rev folder and overwrite the original, then try installing). It didn't work unfortunately - but thanks anyway.I'll keep trying. Quote Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
...I don't think this will do, as you try to install on English Language, but your games language is de_de ... that's short for a German. Edited October 1, 2018 by Jarno Mikkola Quote Link to comment

Hmm, that's interesting. I definitely play with English Language(!) I checked ingame and it's set to English language. Sorry do you know how to choose a different language file for use in the Weidu-installation? I have some experience with R-coding so I could probably work it out... Quote Link to comment
Mike1072
Are you using IRv3 by chance? It does not support BG2EE. You should grab either IRv4b15 or Bartimaeus' IRR. Hmm, that's interesting. I definitely play with English Language(!) I checked ingame and it's set to English language. Sorry do you know how to choose a different language file for use in the Weidu-installation? Then, the next time you try to install a mod, it will prompt you to select your game language. Quote Link to comment

I'll download the others and it'll probably work. Thanks. Ok, then I'll know what to do if there's some future problems with the language settings. Quote Link to comment
Filippo
Hi (again), So I've applied the tips (thanks!) and solved some issues - apparently changed the language via Ascension install. I got my game working with BWS but there were some other issues that came with that so I've reverted to using Weidu. So, now I've grabbed IRv4b10 (couldn't locate v4b15 on github) extracted it to my game folder and extracted (and overriden) the files with IRR v.1.15c as per thread instructions. However, (and I do feel a bit silly for asking) but there's no executable (setup-file) so how do I install it? Edit: Ok, So I simply used an old setup-item_rev and it seems to be working. So seems it was an unnecessary query. Still haven't got a great understanding of how Weidu works. Edited October 3, 2018 by Filippo Quote Link to comment
Bartimaeus
Uhh, I would just like to say that I can't guarantee the stability of vb10 + IRR. It'll probably be fine, though. Anyways, all the setup-(modname).exes are actually the same file, so any time you're missing one for a mod, you can just create a copy and rename it. However, (and I do feel a bit silly for asking) but there's no executable (setup-file) so how do I install it? Holy balls, I must have been really out of it when I responded before. I was thinking about Spell Revisions v4b15. Yes, IRv4b10 is the latest version of Item Revisions. If you grabbed the Windows .exe from the release page, it would have included the setup file. Edit: Ok, So I simply used an old setup-item_rev and it seems to be working. So seems it was an unnecessary query. Still haven't got a great understanding of how Weidu works. All setup-blahblah.exe files are copies of WeiDU and are essentially interchangeable. The only caveat is that some mods that use newer WeiDU features won't work if you try to install them using an older version of WeiDU. But all the setup files in your game directory should automatically update to whatever the most recent WeiDU version is among them. Quote Link to comment

Filippo
Ok, cool. New to Weidu. Got it working - Thanks Bartimaeus and Mike1072 for the help. Edit: and Jarno. @Bartimaeus Ok, thanks for the heads-up. Edited October 5, 2018 by Filippo Quote Link to comment
