In the EE, it is possible to set the flag of an item to identified:

ActionOverride(Player1,SetItemFlags("%tutu_var%SW2H03", IDENTIFIED, TRUE))

 

How would I check whether an item was already identified?

You mean something other than

PartyHasItemIdentified(*xxxxx")

?
