  1. Sounds great @jastey, thanks for the relentless support. Feel free to poke me here, I should have a save somewhere still.
  2. Hey there, Just noticed we had a couple new versions for BG1 NPC, always a good news, did this make it into the fixes ? Should I give it a test ? Cheers,
  3. Well, I personally like the way things work. Mages and caster opponents can be a very serious threat for any party in BG1 and early to mid BG2, especially with smart casters and prebuff. This window of prebuff allows players to use well placed backstabs, or just open fire first. It always felt to me like a fair strategy, justified by the difficulty augmentation from the component and quite lore friendly since you'd need time to "activate" such defenses. If anything, the component still makes caster opponents way stronger, while pushing you towards dirty tactics and alternative strategies : that's everything I wanted from it. Also, there is only so much you can do before enemy mages are prebuffed, they might not always be reachable depending on the encounter, and the best you can generally hope for is a nice backstab opening on a priority target. Sure, you might get an instakill and trivialize an encounter, but I do not recall it hapenning that often : I usually refrain myself from opening fire on non hostiles before hostility is triggered by a quest or dialogue for example, tho.
  4. In this context also, it seems that this is repeated as a gimmick for the character speaking, being super cordial and almost oily. Like, the character is trying to be charming but this is too much, at least that's how I see it. I can't put my finger on a French equivalent proper, so I would probably go with an expression that can also be repeated as a gimmick, is also cordial and upper class. Maybe : "Que les Dieux vous gardent" ? Something like that.
  5. Absolutely fair, no problem.
  6. Hey there @jastey, I keep a lot of saves and install files for testing purposes, and I was hoping to do some spring cleanup before my next install. If it is not too much to ask, and assuming the next version of BG1NPC is not just around the corner, would you consider throwing my way the fix for this / whatever line needs added to close a vanilla journal entry ? I would then be able to test it, or edit around with the journal entries until I find the correct one, eventually crossing this one off my list. I'd report here for you to get a clean tested commit right away, of course. If it's actually more work than my smooth, non-coding brain suspected or if you just don't feel like it, no pressure obviously : I'll wait for 27.2 As always, thanks for a great mod, this one has a special place in my (and I suspected most people's) heart. Cheers
  7. Oh I will @AL|EN, this entire testing frenzy is also part of a greater plan : me preparing my next install, so I was checking on issues I reported and I definitely grabbed the latest versions of every mod I use, including Ascension. But maybe I miss your point : were you asking me to retest with Ascension 2.0.20 installed before BGT to confirm it's not breaking anything ? Last chance, I will soon get rid of all these junk QA install folders ^^. I mean, if anything, it's on you for working too fast on it and giving us 12 releases a year . Since I got you here, it used to be recommended to install Ascension before BGT. These days I saw Bartimaeus and a few others installing it right after BGT instead. Any official stence on this ?
  8. Victory yall, we saw the bottom of this, here goes : I can confirm what Bartimaeus said : the two issues we reported are fixed on my side as well. Tested with Minsc/Dynaheir, Montaron/Xzar and Khalid/Jaheira. Now about my issue with Khalid and Jaheira leaving the map, I uninstalled every mod before BGT and still had that problem : I then made a fresh install with the exact same versions of the same mods (except Ascension 2.0.8) to match Bart's install order : And on that fresh install the issue was fixed ! So it was my BGT install that was screwed somehow, but I still have no idea how. Only difference between Bart's install and mine was I had Ascension 2.0.8 (not the latest 2.0.20) installed before BGT. Maybe that was it, but I still have no idea how, or maybe we'll never know. Anyway, great news and thanks for the hard work @CamDawg @Bartimaeus. Now onto testing some other niche edge-case thingy. Cheers,
  9. Yes RC1 still : ~CDTWEAKS/SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #2 #1075 // Envoyer les PNJs de BioWare dans une auberge (DavidW/Zed Nocear): v10 Release Candidate 1~CDTWEAKS/SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2~ #2 #4025 // Permettre de separer les couples de PNJ: v10 Release Candidate 1
  10. Ok so I did a little more digging : 1) For the NPCs failing to leave the area, I can say it is not a 100% repro (more like 80%) and seems to depend on how far you are from the area transition, so that would be consistent with action queues messing up sometimes. Looks like you have that under control. I'll retest on RC2. 2) I was able to narrow the Minsc / Xzar departure dialogue issue (it is actually one single issue) : when recruited alone (with "Allow pairs to separate") and then kicked out, these 2 NPCs will skip the departure dialogue and have the joining dialogue instead, as documented by Bart. Also, if you then recruit the other member of that pair (Dynaheir / Montaron) and proceed to kicking out Minsc / Xzar, they will will leave the group alone instead of with their mate. looks like they are skipping the entire "departure dialogue" + "my mate leaves too" part of the code. I suspect that there is an asymetry in the code somewhere for those pairs, so it may happen to Eldoth / Skye and Jaheira / Khalid as well ? 3) For my last issue with Jaheira and Khalid leaving the map, I still have that bloody problem after uninstalling everything to a very minimal install (even less than Bart) and we have the same stuff / versions. Latest Weidu log : We also have the same version of BGT, I have no idea what may be happening / what test to conduct. Ideas are welcome. Cheers,
  11. Well, I did install those 2 components outside of their normal install order (last) for the test. So I doubt any other mod is messing with them (and reading my WeiDU log I cannot see anything that would conflict). As for BGT I'm using 1.21 (from last year I think). My WeiDU.log in case : Can I see your log @Bartimaeus ? See if I have stuff you don't. Also which BGT are you using ? Skellyz 1.21 ?
  12. Hello @CamDawg, So let me explain exactly what I did, just in case : 1) Uninstall Tweaks Anthology v9.0 with setup-cdtweaks.exe --uninstall --skip-at-view 2) Install RC1 (only these two components) 3) Performed my tests 4) Uninstall RC1 with setup-cdtweaks.exe --uninstall --skip-at-view Now that being said, I have none of these files in my override. For Montaron for example I have a MONTAR.dlg and a MONTAJ.dlg ------- I also found another issue with Send NPCs to an inn, let me recap the issues here for you : - When dismissed from the party, Xzar does not have his departure talk, but the dialogue to send him to any inn (I tested almost all other NPCs, they're fine) - Khalid and Jaheira leave the map together right after one of them is dismissed (now with the same behavior) instead of standing still - When sent to an inn, NPCs will often leave the map through the closest area transition. They can now get stuck on the other side of that area transition instead of teleporting properly to the inn. For example, for my tests, I used to stand outside of the Nashkel inn and send them there : they now tend to get stuck behind the door (inside) like on this screenshot. If I send them to the Friendly Arm Inn from inside the Nashkel Inn, they'll get stuck outisde the door ... etc. - Additionnaly, there is one asymetric edge-case I found with both Xzar and Minsc (but not with Dynaheir and Monty) : if you recruit Xzar or Minsc alone with "Allow NPC pairs to separate" THEN recruit the other member of that pair (Dynaheir or Monty) with the normal dialogue, then both Xzar and Minsc will leave the group alone (unintended) when fired. I'll be around this afternoon / evening if you need my files, let me know
  13. I did some RC1 testing on sending NPCs to Inns and Allow pairs to separate in the other thread. Looks much better : in short, everything works well except for Khalid and Jaheira still leaving the map after removal on BGT, and a couple minor issues. However, French special characters (à é ô ... etc) are broken on RC1, at least for these components. Might be the case for all special characters / langages. Worth looking into.
  14. Hello there @CamDawg, More testing on RC1 for you : - Imoen Confirmed fixed, after leaving the group she stands in place (as intended) and then can be sent to the Inn (as intended). - Jaheira Separated recruitment : She has the option to be recruited alone with "Allow BG NPC pairs to separate" (intended) Pair recruitment : When recruited normally she comes with Khalid (as intended) Pair removal : When removed from the party, if Khalid is in the party as well, they leave together (as intended). However they leave the map (unintended), you can find them back at the Friendly Arm (in their vanilla location) where they now have the dialog option to send them to the inn (in their modded location). Single removal : When removed from the party, if Khalid is not the party for some reason, she will behave as intended and stand in place after her initial dialogue with the option to send her to an inn. - Khalid Separated recruitment : He has the option to be recruited alone with "Allow BG NPC pairs to separate" (intended) Pair recruitment : When recruited normally he comes with Jaheira (as intended) Pair removal : When removed from the party, if Jaheira is in the party as well, they leave together (as intended). However they leave the map (unintended), you can find them back at the Friendly Arm (in their vanilla location) where they now have the dialog option to send them to the inn (in their modded location). Single removal : When removed from the party, if Jaheira is not the party for some reason, he will behave as intended and stand in place after his initial dialogue with the option to send him to an inn. - Minsc and Dynaheir now work fine : they leave the group as a pair (as intended) everytime, both have the dialog option to send them at the inn (as intended) and the "Allow BG NPC pairs to separate" dialog available (as intended). - Montaron and Xzar still work just fine : they leave the group as a pair (as intended) everytime, both have the dialog option to send them at the inn (as intended) and the "Allow BG NPC pairs to separate" dialog available (as intended). I would however note that Xzar's "departure" dialogue does not trigger (unintended) : when fired he instead jumps right into the dialogue with options to send him to an inn. Additionnaly, there is one asymetric edge-case I found with both Xzar and Minsc (but not with Dynaheir and Monty) : if you recruit Xzar or Minsc alone with "Allow NPC pairs to separate" THEN recruit the other member of that pair (Dynaheir or Monty) with the normal dialogue, then both Xzar and Minsc will leave the group alone (unintended) when fired. In short, everything works well except for Khalid and Jaheira still leaving the map after removal, and a few minor issues. Also : French special characters (à é ô) are broken on RC1 Cheers !
  15. Amazing, I'll give it a good try. Thanks for the hard work ! I am however surprised by this : The Exotic Items Pack has been moved permanently to The Calling mod. This component was patching a shop / oversight issue on top of being a very good addition to BG1. I'll get it from the Calling no problem, but is there a particular reason why it would not belong here ? I mean, it is a great tweak. Not that you have to justify your design choices, it's your code, I'm just being curious.
