O Sarah, Sarah, wherefore art thou Sarah?

Upon entering the Graveyard District, Bodhi descended upon us and took Sarah. I've recovered her body, and Bodhi's Black Heart, and I've taken them to the statue of Amaunator in the Temple Ruins, but I've been unable to restore her to her former glory. Have I encountered a bug, or is there an additional step, or steps, that I should have taken here?

I have the following installed:

Fix Pack

Amber

Auren

Sarah

Tweak Pack

Your assistance is appreciated.

Did you put all the required ingredients in the statue container thing?

Actually, i'm having the same problem... i know that i have performed this successfully once before... with Viconia. But it's simply not working now that i'm trying to raise Sarah.

Are we forgetting something? Are there a third ingredient we're just stupid enough to be missing or does it have to do with Sarah?

Same here. I have already played with other romancable characters so I know what I should do. Unfortunately it appears that Sarah cannot be revived in my current game. :p

I also have the same problem. I got the body and the heart and placing them

in the arms of the statue but nothing happens.

Installed mods are:

Fix Pack version 4

Auren version 6

Sarah version 1.1

SPOILERS

Same thing happened to me today. The group went to the Temple Ruins, placed the heart and the body in the statue and nothing happened.

I noticed after sleeping with Sarah that there was a new variable - something like SarahRingTimer. Whatever that was counting down to never happened (and it had all of Brynnlaw, Spellhold, Soggy City and the Underdark to countdown). Could that variable not firing have something to do with the problem?

RingTimer is completely separate from the kidnap thing. The talk should have happened by now.

Did going to Spellhold/Underdark throw it off? Could it have wanted to trigger then and just gagged? When I got back to the surface, I spent a long time wandering around and visiting various merchants in the Umar Hills, Trademeet and Athkatla in case it was a store-based LT (like Jaheira's necklace).

Oh, and I was running version 1.1 with no other mods besides Dungeon-Be-Gone and didn't use the console.

In any event, the non-return of Sarah at the Temple Ruins has ground the game to a halt, which is a shame because it's a really good mod.

Once again, Sarah failed to ressurect. I went to the Temple Ruins, put the body and the heart into the statue and nothing happened. At no point did I uninstall the mod or do anything bizzare, but I can't get Sarah back.

I did try re-installing after she didn't come back to life, but that didn't change anything.

Here's what I have installed for mods:

1. Dungeon Be Gone

2. Sarah 1.2

Here are some of the important looking Sarah values (courtesy of ShadowKeeper)

SarahFriendshipActive 3

SarahQuest 5

SarahQuestComplete 1

SarahQuestTalk 2

SarahRomanceActive 2

SarahSexLoveTalk 6

SarahTalkFriend 7

SarahTalkRomance 19

Any idea why she's not coming back to life?

Hey Beetle.

I'm so sorry I haven't been around the forums much. Thank you for this info and it will certainly help me when I complete the next test run with her (ToB included).

Argh, would be really nice if I could fix this quickly.

No problem. I'm taking a little break from BG2 anyway (by playing Easytutu). But I'm looking forward to a combined Auren/Sarah run straight through ToB, so keep writing.

Here are my general Sarah thoughts (up to being Bodhi-napped)

Oh yeah, SPOILERS

The voicing was very well done (both acting-wise and technically). As for balance, she wasn't overpowered, but turned into a "dealer of death" with 3 stars in dual-wielding and a strength belt (rangers are great for that). The dialogues very nicely done and overall she is a very pleasant character to have in the group. I thought the romance was very sweet, but one could read an element of "let me pay you back for helping my family" in the tent encounter (but I'm confident that's not what you were going for).

There were a couple of head-scratchers. First, she seemed to start with too many hit points - as if she had 1 more level (I used SK to bring her down to her legal max). Second, she had two stars in two-handed weapon proficiency without any stars in a two-handed weapon (I used SK on that as well). Third, I chuckled when she started talking about the beauty of nature around us when we were in the demonic plane (Planar Sphere quest). I'm guessing the last was because it's coded as an outdoor area. Still funny, though.

The only negative (to me, anyway) was the conclusion to her quest. Her resentment of her mother is a major part of her character, and it seemed like "she didn't really abandon us, she's a secret agent" wrapped it up a bit too neatly (that's why I'm eager to see who gets summoned for her in ToB - not that I wish her mom ill...). It also seems strange and a bit cruel that her uncle allowed her to grow up with that resentment when he knew differently, promise or not. Then again, Charname is a child of the god of murder, so who am I to comment on anybody else's family.

To sum up, I was really enjoying this up to the point where it became unplayable for me, and am looking forward to being able to finish it and then bring her into ToB.

Thanks for making another very good mod that adds enjoyment and life to BG2

Auren and Sarah crossmod will be easily found in ToB. ;)

Yay!

I think I got rather lucky with Sir K and Noctalys. Both of them did an outstanding job.

WARNING: The next few sentences come straight from Ace's musings. Beware.

The romance is supposed to be on the sweet side..if a tad innocent at that. Sarah has never been with anyone intimately. However, I am not going to say that the tent encounter was *entirely* a result of the pure love shared between her and CHARNAME. I'd say that had the family incident not happened, the tent encounter might have been delayed. I'm not saying to was trying to pay CHARNAME off, but it's something to think about I guess.

1) Really? I'll have to take a look at her CRE again. :D

2) Wait...what? Do you mean she had none in Two Weapon? I always thought that the two handed weapon proficiency measured how well a character was with a two handed weapon, while two weapon measured how well they did with two weapons at one time (like Auren).

3) In v1.2 she mentions that it's a nice day but then goes on to say that the forests are better than the city/dungeon/anywhere else. It used to be that the talk referred to them being in a forest but I'm pretty certain I changed that as part of the new release. Still, if she's saying it's a nice day in the demonic plane, well...I suppose we can say it is a darker side of Sarah that we'll probably not see very often.

It's hard for me not to laugh at this because everytime I think of that quest, I think of Noctalys' outtakes on the voicing.

During the LTs, it is revealed that Sarah doesn't like to talk about her mother with anyone, so it can be assumed that she probably wasn't willing to *really* discuss it with her uncle. It's pretty much established that her uncle is not the most stable guy in the first place, however, he was the only one left really to take her in after Dad died.

More on her mom will be revealed in ToB, that I promise, but if you happen to go through her quest dlg again, you'll see that Sarah isn't exactly "totally fine" with the explanation her mom gives her. She's confused, and uncomfortable, because she's already shy as it is, and she has to confront this woman who dropped out of her life without a note or anything, all in front of her closest friends.

Wow, I went off there. Hope that helps things a bit.

To sum up, I was really enjoying this up to the point where it became unplayable for me, and am looking forward to being able to finish it and then bring her into ToB.

The way things are going right now, there is a greater chance that I will release Sarah in a ToB version that also fixes the bodhi bug than releasing a version that just fixes the bug.

You're welcome. It's all for fun anyway. :help: I am still, however, waiting for my group icon for B3st M0ddar 0f l3sb1ians Evar1!1. I had it shipped 2nd day air but it hasn't come in yet.
