I don't know if SCS caused this but, after getting both of the items from the necromancrs (and killing one of them), he doesn't give me my reward.

Put it this way: it doesn't cause it deliberately, because I've no idea what that quest is! Can you give me a few more details?

I think he's referring to the guy in Sorcerous Sundries. You give him the items of Arkion and Nemphre (Bloodstone amulet & onyx ring) and he should give you a cloak of non-detection.

BTW, just to be cheeky, how is 2.03 coming along? I was holding off starting a new BG game until it was done...

Hello -

I don't know if you are using EasyTutu, but if you are, here's a blurb from the changelog from the most recent release that may apply to you:

Changed the Nemphre / Ordulinian quests revolving around Arkion's bloodstone amulet (and in the latter case, Nemphre's onyx ring also) such that the amulet and ring are unique items specific to the NPCs in question, and not generic versions of those items. This should give the items a bit more meaning, and should prevent quest exploits such as using generic versions of the items to complete one quest, or using a generic version of one item in order to be able to complete both quests. This means that these two quests are now mutually exclusive, as they are clearly intended to be.

So, if you delivered Arkion's amulet to Nemphre, but then stole it / killed her to deliver both items to Ordulinian afterward, that is disallowed by design. You can do Nemphre's quest or Odulinian's, but not both.

That sucks. Why couldn't the Tutu people just leave the quests alone?! Leave the so-called bugs where they are - these little exploits add to the feel of the game, and should have been left in there the way they were. (For me, anyway), they give a sense of achievement when you exploit them, making the general item fetching quests a little less boring.

Any mods that revert these so-called bug f ixes?
