Blash2
Hello, I'm thinking about upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10; as far as you know, might I have any problem/compatibility issue with EE games, BWS, EET, Weidu, any mod etc.? Link to comment
Roxanne
Hello, I'm thinking about upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10; as far as you know, might I have any problem/compatibility issue with EE games, BWS, EET, Weidu, any mod etc.? No. I have it installed on windows 10 64-bit. Had it on windows 7 for many years before that. No problem (just never install the stuff into program folders which are protected - but that is not new...) PS - one thing (not directly related to the game files) is to make sure your graphic drivers are suitably updated for Windows 10 - but this is more a hardware specific thing. Link to comment

Jarno Mikkola
I have it installed on windows 10 64-bit. Had it on windows 7 for many years before that. No problem (just never install the stuff into program folders which are protected - but that is not new...)It's not just the Program Files folders, it's the whole freaking C drive, except the folders in the specific users profile folders, aka here: C:\Users\<username>\ - folders, where you can put files you like to modify by hand or by old type programs like the weidu.exe . THIS IS ESSENTIAL. You can of course just skip that problem by installing games to your other drives, that the todays drive policy encourages you to do, as the C drive usually is the operation system and so faster loading, while the others, perhaps slower memory but bigger in size are for storage. GrimLefourbe
Is it just the Program Files folder, you can install stuff on C:\ and have no problems. Link to comment

Roxanne
Always installed BGT in C:\BGT, so I will with Windows 10 and EET I have it in C:\BaldurEET with subdirectories for BG1EE and BG2EE on Windows 10 - and no problems. (It is my PC and I am user and administrator and all - problems may exist if that is not the case, like when using a company PC or whatever.). Link to comment
Lightbringer
I'll echo, FWIW. I'm installed on C:\Baldur's Gate EET with no OS or permissions problems. Win 10 64-bit. Link to comment
Fiann of the Silver Hand
My particular laptop (Intel 520 graphics) wouldn't run bgmain.exe correctly, but compatibility mode fixed it just fine. Link to comment
