Bug with new kits...

When I start a new game and choose one of the new kits for my PC, I get to the alignment Tab and cannot choose one, thus cannot move on in character creation?

What do I need to do? ;)

Does it happen with all kits - the standard and Song & Silence ones? Sounds like something didn't get installed properly. You might try reinstalling to start with. If it's still hosed, post the contents of your WeiDU.log file - maybe it's conflicting with something.

Sounds like an installation error, yes. I'd suggest reinstalling--making sure that you have not installed any non-WeiDU mods or patches since, and that the game and game editors are not running. If it still doesn't work, post your WeiDU.log as suggested and we'll see if there's a conflict with something else. ;)

Re-installing has fixed it. I don't know why I didn't think about trying that... Guess it is because I am a blonde, and constantly over complicate things ;)

Thanks a lot guys! Love the site, really love the G3 Tweaks for BGII!

Take care,

I have the same problem, and reinstalling it does not help. And I did not install anything otgher than baldurdash before this...

And I have no idea where my WeiDU.Log file is...or is this it?

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods

// The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod

// ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // Component Name

// Recently Uninstalled: ~SETUP-SONG_AND_SILENCE.TP2~ #0 #0 // Changes to trueclass bards and thieves, and unmodded game kits (required for other components)

// Recently Uninstalled: ~SETUP-SONG_AND_SILENCE.TP2~ #0 #3 // Install Chorister bard kit

~SETUP-SONG_AND_SILENCE.TP2~ #0 #0 // Changes to trueclass bards and thieves, and unmodded game kits (required for other components)

~SETUP-SONG_AND_SILENCE.TP2~ #0 #3 // Install Chorister bard kit

Or is it Vista? (Yes, my computer has Vista)

That's the WeiDU log, yes. :cry:

I've never used Vista but doubt that could be a problem. I'd try reinstalling again, but make sure that you don't have the game or game editors open, as that can stop files being written to. I know you say you already tried, but a reinstall should fix it as that problem tends to be an end-user error rather than a code error.
