Safana

I've started a new runthrough of Baldur's Gate, in preparation for the new expansion, and figured I'd try and evil-ish party composed of characters who look like they're going to be in the expansion, so Baeloth, Edwin, Safana, Viconia, and Garrick because I like him.

I've noticed Safana's been pretty quiet - looking at the interjection guide, she seems to have very few. She also doesn't seem to really talk to anyone. I was wondering if she really just didn't have much content, or if I'm just missing something?

Heh. To be specific, the following is a rough approximation from a text search of .d files in the project.

ROUGH GUIDE AND APPROXIMATION - Imoen has a dv as a variable, so shows up three times for any state checks, so she probably needs her number reduced 20% or so. This is quantity of interjections/lines/etc. found in the .d files. These numbers include any reference where the NPC is checked for as present, any spoken lines, and does not take into account branching (where Jaheira's quest, for example, or Faldorn's stuff breaks off into separate content chains depending on player choice or party members present, etc.)

But it gives you the idea:

Search "%imo" (1731 hits in 48 files)

Search "%coran" (752 hits in 57 files)

Search "%xan" (704 hits in 52 files)

Search "%dyna" (693 hits in 49 files)

Search "%jah" (628 hits in 49 files)

Search "%ajant" (553 hits in 59 files)

Search "%minsc" (553 hits in 46 files)

Search "%skie" (538 hits in 39 files)

Search "%faldo" (467 hits in 40 files)

Search "%eldoth" (459 hits in 45 files)

Search "%xzar" (428 hits in 41 files)

Search "%khalid" (366 hits in 47 files)

Search "%alor" (387 hits in 39 files)

Search "%mont" (334 hits in 44 files)

Search "%yeslick" (287 hits in 34 files)

Search "%safa" (268 hits in 42 files)

This approximation can change based on what else is installed, too - my gut says Garrick's friendship add-on and Xan's add on and Coran's add on all bump their numbers up, and will probably add to the more "popular" npcs.

And as a side note, I ran these twice, each time... forgetting Faldorn was even in the project.
