Dual classes carry over?

Hi, I'm new here, so also hello everybody.

Sorry for annoying, yet (hopefully) straightforward question.

If I dual-class a party member (not main char, there is answer obvious), does it's "state" carry over to sequels? (Using EET of course.)

Most chars are okay, but whom I have in mind is Imoen, I'd like to dual her to mage ASAP - so on level 2 in BG1EE, to have her as a stronger mage in the sequels + mage in the 1st game. (+ more exp obviously.)

Will she stay that way in sequels, or will I get the "pregenerated/default" - Thief 7/Mage 5 in Dragonspear and Thief 7/Mage 8 in BG2EE?

I'd like to play BG1 with only Main (Multiclass fighter-thief), Imoen, Minsc and Jaheira. So I would quite miss a mage.

:undecided:

Hope I made it understandable. (Sorry for my English.)

Thanks a lot in advance and sorry once again.

Answer is yes - but consider that Imoen is not joining your party during SoD (the pre-generated SoD version is a plot character not a joinable NPC), so you will have the continuous Imoen only for a moment in Irenicus Dungeon until she is arrested and then later in Spellhold and onwards.

Generally, for all BG1 NPCs who re-appear in later campaigns, you will get continuos characters with EET (unless they never joined in BG1 - and except for Imoen and Edwin in case they get killed during BG1, because they anyway need to re-appear in BG2)..

PS - Neera is a new (wild)mage available in BG1 and SoD (and there are Edwin and Dynaheir).

Thank you a lot for the answer. I know about the Irenicus and her imprisonment, played "normal" Trilogy. =)

But thanks about the info on Dragonspear. And about Edwin and Dynaheir - for some reason I never liked them, no idea why. I know Edwin is very strong mage, but still...

Just another hint - Minsc will only appear in SoD if Dynaheir has not been killed during BG1. (So if you want to get rid of her and keep Minsc alone, use a *humane* method to separate the two - like leaving her in some house you never will revisit - unless you install a mod that allows pairs to separate.)
