Resolution too small

Where did you install the game to, and take a screen shot in the main game view... as in, go play the actual game and not just the start menues and see what the actual screen resolution in the game is from that picture.

Yeah, the menues are still mostly 1024x768 with a large black borders, but that's just cause there's no art assets for the places.

Well yes, once I got past the initial screen it did open up. Still not the full screen but much larger and very doable. Thanks!

It should be in full screen -what game do you play ? ... by the way -if you did pick the game to be in full screen in the option screen and not window -ed. And of course the BG1's GUI is a bit of a mess as there's no art assets for the dialog box'es right side, so it's gives a black box to it, just like in this German(at least I assume it's German) google image for the 1280x720, just a lot more of it:

There's a BG1 GUI mod that can be used on a few resolutions: 1280x800, 1280x768, 1024x768, 1024x600, 800x600... but those are the only options you can use it on, but those are the standardized resolutions, so your monitor can show one of them nearly perfectly(the 1280x768 is the likely one).
