Salk
Hello!I want a dialogue line to be available only in Baldur's Gate. Is there a better way then an endless series of AreaCheck()s? Thanks! Link to comment
lynx
If you mean having to be physically there, then I don't think so. Link to comment
Thimblerig
Do you mean the city, or do you mean the game Baldur's Gate 1 (as opposed to BG2 and ToB, which you might have altogether in one big BGT install)? Link to comment
Salk
I meant the city areas. I have almost 200 area checks for that... I was hoping to find a better way. Link to comment

I don't know any way except for the area checks. Maybe restrict it to the main outside areas? Like, Docks, Central District, etc.? Those are the places where the party will spend the most time. Miloch
Some time ago, we discussed implementing extensible area flags, so you could do this much easier. Not sure if it actually went anywhere, but I don't think there was anything technical preventing it either (e.g. you could add your own BGCITY flag to the relevant areas via WeiDU and just check for that accordingly).
