rbx3
Are there modern ways to convert a cre file to a usable chr file? I think Creature Creator was able to do that, but since that program doesn't have a GUI, I've been reluctant to try it. Sorry if this is an old or tired question! Link to comment
Rastor
DLTCEP can do it, as can (I think) Near Infinity. Link to comment

SConrad
He's talking about the reverse conversion; from .cre to .chr. Link to comment
rbx3
Thanks, SConrad that is correct. I have confirmed that DLTCEP, NI, and IE cannot do it as far as anybody that I have consulted is aware of. I read that DLTCEP cannot do it in the DLTCEP forums. Link to comment
the bigg
Put the .cre in the override. Enable the cheats. Open BG2. Clua in the .cre. Press Ctrl-q while the cursor is over him. He will now be a party member: Export him. In the Characters folder you'll find your .chr. Link to comment

I suppose you're right I forgot to mention that you need to open the cre with any program (NI goes fine), open flags (10h) and check "export allowed (11)" Sorry Link to comment
rbx3
That did the trick. Thanks!! Link to comment
