doyouwantahotdog
Hello all, I hope that someone here can help me with this as people in the BGEE forum were stumped. Basically some boxes which pop up such as items, spells etc do not (and don't give me the option to) expand far enough to the right, osbcuring some of the information. It has been suggested it is because my laptop is missing a necessary font and is using a replacemnt which is too big. I am inclined to agree as a side by side comparison of mine (on the right with red "X") and normal DLTCEP shows differences in writing. I don't know how to change this though...........please help me! Please read this thread to get a better understanding of the situation. http://forum.baldurs...-problem#latest Thank you very much for any help you can give me. Link to comment
fearless
Might be the dpi of the text which can be set via control panel->display settings. On win7 its under the option 'Set custom text size (DPI)' set it back to 100% to see if that helps. If not then i guess its a display resolution issue with the screen your using - in your case a laptop. Ive seen a similar issue with a friend of mine who used a 30" tv as a display and it used a non standard resolution - and caused similar issue with elongating dialogs where text was clipped from the end of it. If it is this, try a different resolution if possible. Might not solve the problem altogether, but hopefully some of those suggestions might help in some way. Link to comment
doyouwantahotdog
@fearless I see what you were thinking but alas after trying your suggestions there was no change. But thank you anyway, it is something that has been ruled out and so brought me a step closer to solving this. Link to comment
doyouwantahotdog
Problem fixed. It was to do with missing fonts that Japanese (Possible all asian languages?) versions of Windows doesn't have. After installing the English language pack the problem has been solved. Link to comment
