Bri
This is a topic to allow people to suggest some sayings Delainy could use.. (You know, along the lines of like Minsc's "Go for the eyes Boo, go for the eyes!") One I will do for a fact will be this: There are night when the wolves are silent and the moon howls. Any one used will be given appropriate credit of course. Link to comment
Uriel
Well, perhaps this as a battlecry: "Feel the sting of my wrath!" I can't think of anymore quotes at this time, if I think of anymore I'll post. Uriel Link to comment
Bri
Not bad Uriel... *ponders* I shall wear your guts for garters! Possibly: Either you'll sup on wolf tonight...or wolf shall sup on you! Link to comment
Drybones
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh*t Seriously though, I've got my thinking cap on Link to comment
BigRob
Maybe say... "Come, see why you fear the night!" or something along those lines. Link to comment
Bri
Maybe say... "Come, see why you fear the night!" or something along those lines. Ooh...a Brotherhood of Wolf fan as well? *grins* And yes, I was thinking of a similar quote... Link to comment
Uriel
How about this: Another Battlecry, spoken in a low, menacing whisper: "I shall see your last breath..." A tired line: "Is your need that pressing? Surely exhaustion will claim me before our foes do on the battlefield!" A forest line: "Ahh, I love the forest. It smells so fragrant, so alive." Perhaps as these quotes pile up they can be compiled into a post, to avoid confusion. Uriel, in a contemplative state. Link to comment
Bri
I especially like the tired line, but I'm wondering if I heard it from somewhere before. The combat and forest line are fine as well Yes, when and if more come up, I shall look through them, and get the ones I like (and appropriate credit will be given). Link to comment
Uriel
My tired line is similar from Xan's tired line: "Certainly I shall collapse from exhaustion before I fall on the battlefield" Perhaps is what your thinking of? Uriel Link to comment
Bri
My tired line is similar from Xan's tired line: "Certainly I shall collapse from exhaustion before I fall on the battlefield" Perhaps is what your thinking of? Uriel That's it And no, there is nothing wrong with variations...I was just trying to mentally place where I heard it. Link to comment
BigRob
Maybe say... "Come, see why you fear the night!" or something along those lines. Ooh...a Brotherhood of Wolf fan as well? *grins* And yes, I was thinking of a similar quote... I loved that movie. But I was actually thinking of Thulsa Doom's line from Conan: "Now they will learn why they are afraid of the dark, now they will learn why they fear the night" but hey. Link to comment
cliffette
Bad puns ahead... (what else did you expect?) Tired: Tiredness dogs my every step. Let us rest soon. Uncommon/Forest: You saw a wolf? Where? Forest: I prefer the vocal bark over the skin of a tree. Bored: We should not pause too long here. Attack: Fur what it's worth! Leader: So what does this job entail? All right, I'll go punish myself now Link to comment
Bri
Hehe...excellent line Bigrob. And Cliffette? I especially like the tree one ;-) I will probably do a pun or two and will certainly keep yours in mind. Link to comment

But I was actually thinking of Thulsa Doom's line from Conan: "Now they will learn why they are afraid of the dark, now they will learn why they fear the night" but hey. Let me assure you, I've already pressed Bri for as many Conan quotes as possible. A couple of my favorites: "Life and death... the same" *ponders* Actually, that would be a pretty good battlecry. "What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women." Has anyone else noticed that Yoshi introduces himself as "Yoshimo, thief and archer"? Link to comment
Bri
Yes, Cam, I already promised I would. The Thulsa Doom quote (the one I thought was Brotherhood of wolves) will be in, if slightly amended And I guarantee this one: "Life and death... the same" I won't be doing this one for Delainy (or Durlyle themselves), but this is excellent for an NPC (simply because I don't see them as being that much of a fight monger): "What is best in life?" "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women." Link to comment
