I've recently run into the problem that EET Tweaks won't install anything even though I've clearly selected certain components of it in the selection screen. When I check the bws logs, it says:

##### EET (Enhanced Edition Trilogy) Tweaks #####

##### Sword Coast Stratagems #####

Like it finds that EET Tweaks has been selected but it doesnt do anything. Has anyone else experienced any problem of this nature?

Due to problem with re-installation EET_Tweaks from version 1.6 onward uses WeiDU menu system rather than scripted one. This makes it uncompatible with BWS until (if ever) rules for this mod will be updated in the tool. You can install components manually of course.

Can you give a hint of what BWS may need to change to support it?

I see the problem.

Even if I  did the EET part of it in BWS it would not help as despite its name the mod has this [Compatibility: BG2, Tutu, BGT, CA, IWD-in-BG2, BG:EE, BG2:EE, IWD:EE, EET].

This requires a BWS expert, not an amateur.

When i manually installed EET Tweaks, I missed the Books/Scrolls categorization component. As I understand this is responsible for making sure scrolls have the correct categorization and are not miscellaneous. Ingame, I cannot write scrolls to the spellbook, nor put any scrolls ive found so far into a scroll case. I tried to start EET Tweaks after and simply install it but it doesnt seem to have changed anything. Is it not possible to install it after EET end?

BWS support for EET_Tweaks added for EET installs.

Use of EET_Tweaks for other games than EET currently not supported by BWS.

BWS support for EET_Tweaks added for EET installs.

thanks!

it can be installed after the end component. Description from the readme:

This tweak automatically categorizes Book and Scroll item files to use appropriate category (if needed) in order to make them storable in Scroll Case (impossible if the item uses Miscellaneous category, which is often the case for Books and sometimes for Scrolls). Items referenced in ITEMDIAL.2DA, ITEMSPEC.2DA and Books with effects and/or abilities are excluded from categorization. Category detection is done by comparing default ground icons assigned to items (GBOOK01 for books, GSCRL01.BAM for scrolls).

The component also changes 16 'Dusty Books' scattered around the Durlag’s Tower floors, that usually only have one line written in them, into scrolls (with name changed to 'Dusty Page', appropriate Inventory, Ground, Description icons, weight and price assigned). This makes them copyable into Journal and I think makes a bit more sense - why would Durlag use an entire 2 pounds book to write one line of information?

Other than Durlag's books change here is a list from clean EET installation:

Spoiler

You need to post the file name of the item you're talking about (or at least put exact quote from it / screenshot to make finding it in NI easier)

From that log, it seems that its not the component causing trouble for me since what my game is having trouble with is spell scrolls and they dont seem to be changed by it. Must be something else in my install that changes them. It also causes some of the scrolls to need to be identified. I've personally never seen that before.

By looking in EEKeeper I am able to see that all the different spell scrolls have been assigned the food type, has anyone any idea why a mod would change this?

Had some of my spells labelled as food so couldn't be copied to spell books.... changelog shows 3 mods touching this spell. I'll leave the last mod of the list from the changelog as see if that changes anything.

Do tell me if that changes anything. I can tell you that I dont have refinements installed at all.
