question about Weathermistress Ada

The allure of an evil woman was too much for my CG fighter as he succumbed to her charms. Alas, she has left and has yet to return. Will she at least return in her official capacity as priestess of the Talos temple? How long will she stay away? (nine months ;) )

Can Mae'var's task be completed if she's not there?

She has to return - it's embedded in your area. Try return there next night/next day.

EDIT:

Mistress Ada is actually a very interesting scripting case. There are two of her: the one that lies on the bed at night(this one is always there), and the one that is there during the day.

I've just re-tested her a few times, just in case - she returns with the player, immediately, as she should(well doh! as if we released the mod if she didn't), but since she *is* a very unusual case, I'll be interested to know when was it - which hour did your savegame show? - and whether you used a CTRL-T or the like(because you're really not supposed to, here  ).

I'll see what happens at night. I had returned during daytime several days after the tryst, and she wasn't there.

As a CG character, my pc does not object to buying potions and scrolls from her and finds the pricing reasonable as compared to that of Lathander. In fact, the concept of assigning evil intentions to weather, at least from what ISTR the guards and Ada herself saying, seems rather absurd to my pc ;) Of course, his wisdom and int are fairly normal at 10 or 11 each, and he does enjoy savoring a good thunderstorm now and then :D

No, no - I was meaning to ask, what hour it was during the tryst - if you remember, or have a savegame. She'll be there at night.

Just went in at 19 hrs, and Ada was asleep as you said she'd be. Will she return to her regular daytime duties, though?

Thanks,

John

She should, but if you wanted to test it, you could save first (to a new save slot), then keep hitting CTRL-T until the night-time Ada disappeared. Then hit it a few more times to see if the daytime Ada shows up.

I was thinking about forcing a DayNight(NOON) at her right after the encounter, so that we don't mess with time and she always returns to her day self; somehow, I am starting to suspect it might've not been such a bad idea, after all.

EDIT: another thing with Ada - despite the fact that we use StartDialogueNoSet on her, as we do on anyone else the game doesn't pause as they talk - they continue to move, time continues to tick. I wondered why that was.

This could be significant if it's close to evening when the encounter begins. If she is deactivated in the new area, she'll never return to the old. It looks like it might be good to either force the daynight(NOON) or go back to keeping the encounter in the original area. I kind of like forcing daynight(NOON), though, because it avoided that whole business with assigning the StormKnights scripts and DVs and using all kinds of StoreLocation() stuff.

Oh. I don't really remember, and the save game bit the dust well before I even realized there might be a problem or if it was a problem.

FWIW, I do believe the tryst occurred during the daytime hours, after daylight but before noon.

Sorry, forgot to note that the reply was from me

Excellent, I'm listing it in v2 stuff, then.
