Yeah, well, which forum is not for questions about modding but for discussion of it? Less like "I dunno how to do this" and more like "Look what can be done!" In this case it's what can be done with opcode 215. I thought discussion would start from there. And you went and ported it to off-topic. Great thinking.

OK, I'll bite. How did you do it?

Oh, come...you can put any bam file into the game at will, just create an effect VEF, VVC to display it, trigger it by spell/script/dialogue as you like and populate Ulcaster Ruins with rabbits out of Elminster's old hat...

If you want to ask questions about how to implement mods, the Modding Q&A forum is appropriate.

If you want to discuss existing mods, mod installation, or ideas for new mods, the General Mod Discussion forum is appropriate.

If you want to paste random celebrities into the Infinity Engine and post pictures of that, the Noobermeet forum is appropriate.

And you thought I wanted to showcase Monroe? That's why I posted? Uh-huh.

The 215 isn't so simple, Roxanne. There is enough to discuss. For one thing, it only lasts around 16 seconds, I haven't been able to extend it with any duration type or frame rate. Maybe there is a way. Then, animation bams aren't going to be colored properly, so we are more or less stuck with static objects and custom bams. They also cover each other, but perhaps there is a way to change that too with settings. On the positive side, if the duration problem can be solved, and if we use small bams that don't overlap, this opcode can, for example, instantly fill a room with new furniture or hang banners on walls. Putting the opcode in an invisible creature's script so it casts it regularly, or putting the spell in the area script will make the changes permanent.

It's an opcode with a lot of potential, even if can't do all I expected of it.

No, invisibles equipped with items that generate this is different. They are useful, of course, but that's a rather obvious application. True, I've suggested invisibles myself, because I can't get the effect to persist, but the idea is to use the stand-alone effect to change, in effect, the terrain and the area itself.

When people want to discuss something, they usually explain the matter, rather than just post an image and wait for somebody to take the bait...

Check the Fireshield spell, it lasts much longer than that.
