  1. I'm so sorry for not getting beck to you sooner, but life turned a bit crazy these last few weeks, so I kept forgetting reporting back here. Installing the game without patches did the job! It works now. Thank you very very much for your help argent & Fouinto!
  2. Many thanks argent and Fouinto! I'll reinstall without the patches, try again and report back. It'll probably be tomorrow though, as it's already 10 pm here and I have to get up so terribly early in the morning.
  3. Um, sorry for being slow on the uptake, but just to be sure: I uninstall BG EE and BG2 EE completely and then reinstall the base games and ToD? But I don't install the patches that are available at GOG? The GOG version comes with the following files: BG 1 setup_baldurs_gate_enhanced_edition_2.5_(23121).exe patch_baldurs_gate_enhanced_edition_2.3.67.3_(B)_(20125)_to_2.5_(23121).exe setup_baldurs_gate_siege_of_dragonspear_2.5_(23121).exe BG 2 setup_baldurs_gate_ii_enhanced_edition_2.5.16.6_(21849).exe patch_baldurs_gate_ii_enhanced_edition_2.3.67.3_(A)_(10672)_to_2.5.16.6_(21849).exe Oh my god. now that I wrote it down, I realize that the game versions are already v2.5 and v2.5.16.6! But, not noticing that, I did apply the patches. Might this be the problem?
  4. Good idea! Here's the topic over at SHS, where the complete debug is attached: http://www.shsforums.net/topic/60222-eet-installation-error-missing-bg1801are/ I've already looked in Roxanne's forum, but found nothing that seemed similar to my uneducated eyes. Would you recomment that I try to install the whole thing with BWS instead? I got the impression that Roxanne's tool was more up to date, but I have no qualms with BWS at all as I've used it in the past and it worked flawlessly. On the other hand, I'd like to get to the bottom of this. Even if my game would work with BWS it might help other people if the community would be able to figure this out. And as nobody else seems to have gotten this error, I'd be a willing guinea pig.
  5. First of all, many many thanks to Jastey and Mike1072 for making it possible for me to sign in here again! You guys (?) are awesome! Now, to business: I'm currently trying to set up a modded game of BG & BG2 Extended Editions with EET connecting both games letting the EET setup tool do the heavy lifting. Everything should be up to date (GOG version of both games, SOD and the setup tool were downloaded last week and the tool handled downloading the mods). I also followed the instuctions carefully (no installing the games in program files or game client folders, starting BG 1&2 and ToB and making a save in each, disabling the virus protection during the installation process, disabling user account control...). The installation process started as it was suppoed to (at least as I'm used to from normal Weidu mods and BWS which I used with the original unenhanced BG games in the past), but the broke off during the installation of the setup-EET.exe with the following warnings. (I also copied the bit right before the first error, so someone who knows what (s)he's doing might get an additional clue to the source of the problem.): The whole setup-eet.debug is 15,5 mb (is this normal?) so I can't attach it here, but if you need me to post another part, I'll gladly do so. If anyone has an idea what's wrong or / and has a suggestion how to prevent this error, I'd be most grateful Thank you in advance!
