Hmm, was the prince using a spear deliberate in SCS II, or is it due to my game uses the original prince file but SCS II scripts?

 

In my game, he's getting backstabbing modifiers... but in any case this isn't something I've set up deliberately. The Kuo-Toa prince is one of the last bosses that I don't modify, so he's just picking up generic thief scripting.

 

As for your game-breaking bug, what's happening (I think) is that some mod is damaging the offsets in UDPRINCE. Usually this doesn't break an install on its own (at least not on Windows machines) but it means that other mods who try to modify the file are getting confused. SCS II modifies all hostile thieves (here including the Prince) to start invisible, and that's (I guess) where the problem is coming from. It might or might not be being caused by Baldurdash - certainly Baldurdash does modify UDPRINCE, but some other mod might too.

 

I don't really support Baldurdash installs, but I do try to stop genuinely game-breaking problems, so I'll look out for this one in subsequent versions.

I tried install a different configurations. SCS after Tactics Improved Ilyich, TII after SCS, SCS before TII. Without success.

I can't reproduce this on SCS v23 so I'm going to assume it's been fixed en passant.

This happened to me several times....it's easilly fixable - delete UDPRINCE.cre from override and then install SCS. I think Baldurdash messes with him.

Oh, I meant the Ilyich problem, not UDPRINCE. You're right, the latter is Baldurdash (which I've more or less given up supporting).
