Scott3614
I was having some trouble with my game and wanted to uninstall, then do a clean install. From the Start menu, I selected the uninstall option, and the game uninstalled. I put in disc 1 to reinstall, and it gave me the regular "play" option like the game was still there. I know that I have to go to the regedit to take out the rest of the game flags, but didn't want to be poking around in there and not know what the heck I'm doing. Any help? Thanks. Link to comment
NiGHTMARE
Just search for "BGII" or whatever the name of the directory you installed the game in was. Link to comment
BevH
You have to do a manual delete of the override folder. This is probably where your problem is. Link to comment
Scott3614
Thanks, but I've already done that. I need the folders/files to delete in the registry editor. Link to comment
BevH
Hmmm... I've done clean installs many times and I didn't have to do anything other than delete the override folder. Link to comment
Ghreyfain
I had to do this once or twice in the distant past, and I know BioWare had information on their site about which keys to delete. Try searching through their FAQ at www.bioware.com Link to comment
khayman
Alternatively try running Setup.exe directly from the CD, it`s the easiest way around and it works. Link to comment
