  1. Has baldurdash gone or been removed? Or moved even? Dave
  2. Thanks peeps. I have updated my Ninafer page which holds my copy of the old mod. @cmorgan if you want me to point at your rar file post the URL. Otherwise it seems she's been moved to "The Undying". Great to see your both still busy with the game
  3. Is she still around? I looked a couple of years ago and earlier tonight and can;t find her, apart from on my wiki site. Anyone got any clues?
  4. ...cause I am pretty sure that whole "’" was just "'", whitout the quotes, which makes it ' Hmm, the threads were good reads, though, as I wasn't there until ... So thanks. Like most modders/users I flitted around tried to use Lennon and the picture where ever I could. I might not have been as kind to Cmorgan as I should, his need was greater than mine as I think I am now posting once/five years. The picture didn't belong to either of us.
  5. Wow, conceived in 2008, started in 2014, and posted last week ... 10 years in the making. I also posted this http://davelevy.info/modelling-power/ which talks about formal modelling of power in the licence contracts Glad to see some of you are still here ... think I'll re-open my NWN II game
  6. I I have finally posted my long planned piece, on the way Bioware adopted a permissive licence for the AD&D games at the turn of the century. I argue that in doing so they enabled a fan community to create content which increased the value of the game to its customers and also the demand in volume for the game binaries, and the period over which it was used. It's a bit long, and a bit pompous, but you might like it, if you want to comment, best done here. Dave aka Lennon
  7. It's now over a year since I last enquired about this? There has been no reply! I rather like what Jess started but have a lot on my plate, in terms of projects and life. This should not die. [Jess: If you're still around and reading, come back]||[Don't remove this from the site i.e. G3, I {at least} might come back to this on the grounds its been abandoned]
  8. I think the true class song is broken, aVenger fixed it. If you're going to base your install on the published game, you should fix it also. I don't understand what you mean by an opcode or how it would work? Which tutorial should I read?
  9. These look good, I especially like the Gypsey's charm as this is what the 1E bard did. I am toying with the idea of implementing a 1E bard, but its not very high up on my list of things to do. The charming you propose does not (IMO) scale faster enough against the enemies you meet, altough you may not want the bard singing all the time. I have been persauded that unless a bard sings, they are a poorer version of the FMT. Also a sucessfull resistance to a charm lasts the whole encounter. I'd consider decreasing the saving throws faster, say -1 / 8 levels, or offer the charm as an inante earned before L20, with reduced saving throws. I suggest some of these classes should also get degraded theiving/sneaking skills.
  10. Is this going to be an add on to Rogue Rebalencing Kit? If not, I believe that ther true class bard song (and hence the Blade's song) do not work. I have toyed with enhancing /tuning the bards song and have discovered the following things. 1./ I can't find the true class bards song in the inate abilities lists (using IE). I can find the skalds. 2./ Using one of the Team BG editiors, the bard comes up with an ability called something like change bards song, suggesting (to me) that the bards songs are implemented by someting other than a spell assignment. 3./ I have not inspected the game since installing the RRK, not have I played a TC bard since then, but the Jester seems to perform as aVenger advertised and my TC bard is aquiring RRK's HLAs. (Still can't see if the song works as expected; if my theory that the song is assigned at PC creation time, it may not work) I have written once to aVenegr at his Forgotton Wars address and have received no reply. I hope this is helpful
  11. Do you know if Jess is coming back?
  12. Absolutley Sites such as G3 & PPG are bring people to the Modding community, this is one resource that if people propose to publish, they should know about before they start cutting code. Ideally a single netconnected database should run this and each mod site have an update function. This list is our equivilant of the Internet Naming Authority Its possible to write conflicting mods if people don't respect the prefix allocation requests. All of this is IMO.
  13. Can you put a hyperlink on the site front page to this site? or pin it? -- Lennon
