Sarevok's Deathbringer Assault

Sword of Chaos +4 (Ascension only) added to IR, 10% magic resistance replaced by +2 to all saves

I was hoping for Deathbringer here...

I thought there was no consensus about it with some players complaining that such feat is Sarevok's doing, not his weapon.

Anyway, I'm stuck in bed with a damn flu, I guess I can make a lot of research on the whole Deathbringer stuff. I'll let you know what I discover later. ;)

The Sarevoks ToB .cre file has the sareveff.spl as a passive melee(1) ability, at least in the Enhanced Edition, the spl does 200 damage... so it's there.

K, it's in the vanilla BG2:ToB game too, and the probability 1 is 100 while 2 is 97, so it's 4% chance of effecting 200 damage and stunning the opponent, if I got it correctly.

@Jarno, I obviously already knew how the ability works right now. I'm talking about the concept behind it, is it an ability that Sarevok is supposed to do with every weapon, or can it be tied to his sword? I suggested the latter simply because it would allow players to know what's going on, and also make Ascension's Sword of Chaos look more epic/unique.

Anyway, even after a long research I couldn't find any official data on the web regarding Deathbringers. Still, I found very interesting stuff on this topic (start from post #3).

Short story: it appears the Deathbringer can be both an ability which only children of certain evil Gods could gain, or an incredibly powerful cursed weapon. I'll think about the possible implementation of the latter.

NPC Kitpack gives Sarevok a Deathbringer kit that provides Deathbringer Assault. I'd prefer that IR did not attach the ability to the sword.

Well, from a PnP point of view that's the most incorrect solution because it never existed a Deathbringer kit/class/PrC. :/

Put down the Pen and Paper classes, and realize that they do not belong to this Video -game. :D

And as the feature already exist in the original game, you are battling the windmills, Don Quixote.
