lynx Posted January 6, 2013 Share Posted January 6, 2013 GemRB development in 2012 as a swarm of blobs: During the forum downtime, the development continued at an elevated pace, so expect an awesome next release. Lots of work is going into iwd2 compatibility, fizzle (a new contributor) has been ironing old ugly bugs that nobody wanted to touch and chiv has managed to playtest pst to about 70%! Plenty of work still to be done, but it is much more tangible now. A great start of the new year, so come and join us. In particular, we're looking for someone to check if IWD:TOTL can be completed now, since the last known blocker was fixed in the previous release. Link to comment

lynx Posted January 14, 2013 Author Share Posted January 14, 2013 Guess what, the status of iwd2 in the master branch is now so good, you can play the whole Prologue! There are only two problems, but they are bearable and don't affect the quests or storyline. First, there is still no level up support, so you're stuck at level 1* and second, there are some annoying inventory bugs, so quick items are not reliable and weapon switching a bit awkward. Be sure to start with one of the predefined parties, since our character generation currently lacks support for giving access to spells. Link to comment
