Also would have made Tiax a Strifeleader/Thief, but for some reason my version doesn't recognize Divine Remix, making this impossible.

I encountered the same bug recently. I hope by the next version we can get this fixed.

Are you talking about an SoA game, a TuTu game, or a BGT game? With TuTu and SoA I have not had any problems making Viconia a cleric/thief with the Nightcloak of Shar kit, so perhaps you have an install order problem? I have never had luck until I made level1NPC the absolutely last thing in my install. But I cannot get Level1NPC to edit BG1 NPCs that show up in mods in SoA, such as Kivan or Xan.

ooops, I now see that DR has a special tp for making Viconia a nightcloak. And it has been so long since I have played an evil party Tutu game, that I am not certain that I did not use that function to make her a nightcloak.

Um, thanks. I'm pretty sure I'm familiar about install order issues! :)

Yes, L1NPCs should go at the absolute end, if for no other reason than we need to make more updates to the mod, and that will require some unstalling/re-installing.

Perhaps we can get Divine Remix to generalize the Nightcloak of Shar kit so that other NPCs can use it.

We want to ensure Level1NPC can update vanilla-BG2-, Tutu-, BGT- and BG1NPCs-modded NPCs. So I'll work to get a review and some testing done. Completion might not happen until a future version.

I like making Jaheira a ranger of some sort, or ranger/cleric, she's got the stats.
Jaheira Ranger/Cleric, that's a bit bad choice... Reason...
Jaheira, a Ranger/Priest of Talos.
After all, being Ranger of Talos :) gives her the power and the blessing of Lightning. And it fits her Alignment nicely too... :)

If you've become bored with Anomen and Jaheira as your only meleeing priest selections...

try Viconia as a fighter-cleric.

I have her dual-wielding scimitars via the "allow Fighter/Clerics... two stars in any weapon type - just using the Fighter restrictions rather than the Cleric's..." component.

I also gave her profs in mace and flail.

Her only deficit as a meleer is low Strength. So I gave her the Girdle of Hill Giant Strength from Adventurer's Mart. That and her 19 Dex and 65 Magic Resistance make her very formidable.

I decided to alter everyone after playing around with EasyTutu with a new

character, once I reached the Friendly Arm Inn and gained Jaheira and

Khalid - I noticed that their proficiencies are way different to that of the

original Baldur's Gate! ;)

Khalid was duel wielding bastard swords and Jaheira was wielding a club!?

So thanks to this awesome mod (along with Divine Remix - another awesome

mod :mwaha: ) I made those changes above, and also to the rules to accomodate those changes (all single class character can have 1 * with any weapon, fighter/ (druid, cleric, mage) can have 2 ** in any weapon etc... I didn't however, want to change the other rules such as making monty a fighter/ assassin - as I only wanted single class characters access to kits (after all - I feel that single class can be more specialised in their role, whereas multi class are more diversified - hence why I also didn't allow for multi class to have access to grandmastery - but that's just what I like :p )

After reading some of the fellows alterations ( Garrick - Jester

Shar-Teel - Blackguard etc) I might also look into doing those :D

Not sure that kagain is suited (roleplay wise) as a berserker though...

And I think I agree with Safana as a swashbuckler... so will change that one later, and minsc having a racial enemy as demonic/fell!? :p well roleplay wise I figure he would really hate them as demons are evil evil, and he always likes to kick the butt of all evil doers!

First off, an issue to report.

If you have a custom NPC mod for BG2 that reintroduces an NPC that was in BG1, the Level 1 NPC's mod will misread that character as a valid Bioware NPC. For example, I have the Xan BG2 NPC mod, and this mod mistakenly detected him as a modifiable NPC. Naturally, if you try, the installer detects an error and you have to skip that step.

I wanted to change him to a Sorcerer; you CAN do this from the Xan BG2 NPC installer itself, but his spell picks are suboptimal and you have to use Shadowkeeper to edit them. Crap.

One thing I did end up doing was uninstall then reinstall the G3 Tweaks Pack components that give NPC's maximum HP on joining / level up. Level 1 NPC's overwrites this if you already have it installed.

I modded every NPC I planned on using, even if I kept their kits and proficiencies the same. The reason is because I wanted the matching exp. feature to work on all of them. Here are the major changes:

Imoen - Swashbuckler, dual wields longswords. This dramatically increases her survivability in Chateau Irenicus, and makes her more useful through the rest of the game.

Minsc - Berserker, 2H sword grandmastery. I kept the headwound rage, but I never really used it. Plus some scripts use it (like if Aerie dies) though I don't know if removing it affects them.

Jaheira - Cleric/Ranger, dual wields warhammers and clubs. Although I didn't give her a cleric kit, she still managed to become my party's most valuable member with more kills than Minsc.

Viconia - Cleric/Thief who can backstab using clubs.

Haer'Dalis - Skald instead of Blade.

Nalia - Wild Mage so that I can change her to a Spellshaper under the Wild Mage mod. It's consistent with her previous class of mage with puny thief skills, only better.

Mazzy - Cavalier, which breaks her racial restrictions. It renders her Bow of Arvoreen useless, but it WAS useless anyway.

Valygar - Archer who uses longbows and a spear.

Sarevok - Anti-Paladin just because I love that kit and it's consistent with his personality, though I don't know yet if it nullifies his Deathbringer Assault ability.

I love this mod and I try to recommend it everywhere BG2-related I go.

I did:

Imoen to wild mage or another pure mage class (I thought of bard, but Keto is enough...)

Viconia to cleric/thief (quarterstaff in mind)

Minsc to Berserker (no real change in proficiencies)

Korgan to Barbarian (dual wielded axe/hammer)

Valygar to Wizard Slayer (dual wield katana, scimitar)

Mazzy to Paladin (two handed sword, short bow, halberd, short sword)

Sarevok to Fighter/thief or Fighter/mage (though the last isn't fitting him background wise, I wanted to play a fighter/mage to see what it's worth). Dual wielded katana/scimitar/batard sword/long sword for the last.

Ajantis: Cavalier. I always make him one for some reason, such as with the EasyTutu NPC Kit Selection

Alora: Burglar (Song & Silence)

Branwen: Battleguard of Tempus (Divine Remix)

Coran: Sharpshooter (Song & Silence). Now he can legally have 3 *s, albeit in the smaller bow

Dynaheir: No changes

Edwin: No changes

Eldoth: Dirgesinger (Song & Silence)

Faldorn: Avenger

Garrick: Chorister (Song & Silence)

Imoen: Adventurer (Song & Silence)

Jaheira: No changes

Kagain: No changes

Khalid: Duskblade (Sword & Fist). IMO, this kit fits him better than the vanilla fighter or fighter/mage option from BG2 Tweaks

Kivan: Archer. Same reason like Ajantis

Minsc: No changes

Montaron: Assassin

Quayle: No changes

Safana: Bounty Hunter

Shar-Teel: Hexblade (Sword & Fist). I pretended she picked a few tricks up from her father...and had her specialize in katanas, to go along with his BG2 NPC mod version

Skie: Shadowdancer (Song & Silence)

Tiax: First I tried Strifeleader of Cyric (Divine Remix), but the sling prof bug made him seem ineffective. So I kept him as Cleric/Thief

Viconia: Nightcloak of Shar (Divine Remix)

Xan: No changes

Xzar: No changes

Yeslick: No changes

I made Valgyar into a kensai once, and later dualed him to thief. However, I was astounded when I discovered he could still wear his ancestral armor. This is obviously way overpowered, but I kept it on because I had so much fun with it.

I just have to have an inquisitor in my party, and after using Keldorn and my PC, I tried with Jaheira. I didn't like it, so I settled on Minsc as my paladin of choice. I use him like this on almost all my runs. I'm sure I will try with other PCs later on.

My current party is-

Me-Fighter dualed to mage

Auren Aseph-Fighter

Aerie-Fighter/Cleric

Minsc-Inquisitor

Mazzy-Unchanged fighter (will be replaced with archer Imoen)

Jan-Fighter/Thief

I absolutely love this mod. This is my favorite one after DungeonBeGone. I've tried a bunch of different things, and still have more in mind.

I wanted to make it so that no class combo or kit was repeated... that everyone was unique. Here's what I did:

Ajantis ------ Inquisitor (cavs deal with monsters, inqs with people)

Alora -------- Bounty Hunter (she's good with traps and locks)

Branwen ---- cleric of Tempus

Coran (F/T)- Ranger (Archer) (he's got 20 dex, c'mon!)

Dynaheir ---- Sorceror (savage lands of Rashemen)

Edwin ------

Eldoth ------ Jester (he's very good at putting people down)

Faldorn ----- Avenger

Garrick ----- Skald (honor, doesn't like pickpockets)

Imoen ------

Jaheira -----

Kagain ----- Wizard Slayer (1e dwarves were somewhat anti-magical)

Khalid ------- F/M

Kivan ------- Stalker

Minsc ------- Barbarian (replaces his previous rage ability)

Montaron--- Thief (Assassin)

Quayle -----

Safana ----- Swashbuckler

Shar-Teel--- Berserker (she has anger issues)

Skie (thief)-- Bard (Blade) (her and eldoth can make a bard duet using both their songs)

Tiax (C/T)--- cleric of Cyric

Viconia ----- C/T (you need stealth to survive in the underdark and she has 19 dex)

Xan (Enc.)-- M/T (explains why he was sneaking, and makes his sword useful)

Xzar ------- Wild Mage (like LSD, wild magic affects the mind)

Yeslick -----

All multi-classes appear once, except for F/T. Imoen is the only single class character that doesn't get a kit. All the thief kits are taken, so she gets to be the sole dual-classer. :)

I struggled for a bit with Minsc, as he could go as a Beastmaster and have Boo as a familiar. However, the extreme weapons penalties they get and Minsc's low mental stats pushed him into the Barbarian camp for me.
