  1. @Skitia Enjoying the mod's latest update very much so far, but ran into what seems like a bug:
  2. It's a nicer interface layout than the default quickloot UI, and has a couple of features that I find highly useful such as showing your current encumbrance/how much weight you're carrying, so you don't pick up items when you're at or near the limit.
  3. @lefreut ... or anyone else, is there some fundamental conflict between Adul's better quickloot and LeFreut UIs? Experiencing the same problem with the BG2EE version (on a BG2EE install). I really happen to like Adul's quickloot, so much so that if I'd known about the 2 being mutually exclusive I probably would not have installed LeFreutUI mod - unfortunately it was the first mod installed so too late to remove it. If there's a workaround to get Adul's quickloot installed on top of LeFreut UI that would be magnificent.
  4. Good to know. Lots of options - thanks for the heads up. Now to decide which of the 2 options to go with.
  5. Is there a way to get Adul's better quickloot component to install on a IWDEE installation with Lefreut's UI-IWDEE already installed?
  6. Thanks for the clarification! I can see it's appeal for slower progression playthroughs.
  7. This made me chuckle. I would seriously consider installing such a mod if it exists - I wanted to like SoD, but honestly, there were a lot of parts (especially the start) where I wanted to respond exactly like this. Any progress on such, or is it out there somewhere @Lauriel?
  8. Just a caveat: Roxanne's work in general should be used with discretion/warning, as there's been a history of implementing her own fixes/tweaks in isolation apart from cooperation with the original mod authors and the rest of the community. End result may be harmless or even helpful in some cases, but occasionally you may find unexpected issues with no documentation or warning. You can definitely run into potential compatibility issues, especially if say the mod authors implement updates/fixes and she chooses not to update her versions accordingly (has happened multiple times). In particular, note that respected, reliable modders like DavidW and Jastey have recommended/warned against potential problems using Roxanne's methods and their mods. Given all this, her 'version 14' of NPC Strongholds... there may be some good work/fixes in there, but the fact that there's absolutely no documentation or even change history (even though HUNDREDS of scripts, items, creature files, etc were changed), the fact that the link to her version on her github is gone, combined with her past patterns/habits in how she did things, would make me very hesitant to use her version.
  9. Party XP for quests distributed individually Compatibility: BG2, Tutu, BGT, CA, IWD-in-BG2, BG:EE, BG2:EE, IWD:EE, EET This tweak converts every single party XP reward in game (also affects mods) to rewards distributed individually for each of the party member. It will affect solo and smaller party players significantly, but total XP pool is not changed by this tweak (excluding integer rounding), so if you are playing with party of 6 you won't notice any difference in your game because all party members will receive their XP. Maybe it's just me, but I always found this description extremely puzzling. There are more than one type of xp rewards given out to parties; which one is 'party XP reward'? i.e. Is the net effect going to be faster or slower progression for solo or smaller parties?
  10. As I understand it this mod is ToB content that starts in the Pocket Plane, so it occurs well after Yoshi's death. I'm hoping adding the mod specific variable for whether Yoshi's heart was put to rest or not is sufficient to allow for experiencing the mod fully, even if I'm past the initial pocket plane setup stage. My concern is that it's too late because the Pocket Plane, first 2 challenges, etc. have all been accessed already, which might mean it's too late for a good chunk (or all) of Yoshi's content.
  11. It's not that Insect Plague specifically makes this encounter too hard (I think they managed to get one casting of it off - if you have Remove Fear available you can deal with the pain). It's more that I was surprised there were 2 casters in double digit levels for a non-boss fight. They seem to be kitted as Avengers and can petrify party members with Chromatic Orb (level 10 version); I remember being a little stunned by that. Plus the environment/tactical situation - since you don't want to hurt/anger Beedor it severly limits AOE options - which is an excellent challenge for people who just like to blow stuff up with wand of fire and such. It's the resulting combination of all the ingredients (2 level 10s, 4 level 6s, AOE restriction) that I felt presented a challenge on par with the chapter end boss fight (single level 11 mage with Dimension Door tricks but only 1 level 5 spell, supported by flunkies), which makes me wonder if that was indeed the intent.
  12. I have a ToB save with the party taking a Watcher's Keep break before going to Amkethran. Is it too late to add this mod (and possibly tweak the variable for having put Yoshi's heart to rest in SoA, which I actually did do)? It sounds like an intriguing concept, an interesting character/story driven mod for ToB (which is sorely lacking in such).
  13. It appears they're level 10 even without SCS installed (checked pre-EET BG1EE install with NI; SCS installs on the BG2EE side with a proper EET installation). My guess is someone decided to up the difficulty somewhere along the line, as their names are X#SHDR06 for the level 6 ones, but the level 10 guys are named X#SHDR08 which would seem to indicate they were meant to be level 8 at one point. Examining the level 10 guys' scripts (X#prefix, pre SCS scripts) shows they're meant to be fully capable of utilizing level 5 spells like Insect Plague and Ironskins (really deadly vs. most lvl 5 or 6 parties). That's fine for me and a lot of veteran players, steep challenge can be fun, but it seems a bit over the top especially for newer players as this encounter ends up being tougher than the end of chapter boss fight vs Daevorn.
