Beware the Spoilers

 

I downloaded V004 yesterday and spent some hours playing it. Here are some points:

 

1. The talk with Angelo about Shar-Teel gave me the lovers/one night stand option even though my character is female. If I chose one of those options, and I did - for a laugh, and it definitely gave the impression that he thought I was a man. No other talks I had with Angelo were affected by this though.

 

2. The Solaufein content worked perfectly (no bugs) and fit very smoothly in the game. I thought his reaction was perfect. I actually loaded a game with him in Ust Natha, (where I had been playing with V003), and it popped up almost immediately.

 

3. With the Bodhi abduction, I could not find Oyaji and Sakaki - for love nor money. I swear I searched that Temple District from top to bottom. Do I need to have encountered them before hand? Or do they only appear at certain times of the day - I was looking in the early evening and night in game-time.

 

4. The rest in Amekthran was interesting. No bugs to report - and no flies either. Heh.

 

5. Loved the Tree of Life dialogue.

 

That's all I have to report for now. I'll post again if I can think of anything else.

With Shar-Teel, probably a gender check is required - Angelo clearly has a double standard here, and his reaction is aimed at a male NPC rather than female. Waiting for the author's say here!

 

The two peddlers spawn in the very middle of the Temple District - one of the bridges, not far from the place where Gaal preaches. It's a very obvious place, which is why you could've missed them. They stay there all day and all night, too. If they still haven't spawned, I want to see your Weidu.log, please.

 

 

 

As well, I don't mind either way, but I think it would be best if we kept it to PMs in the future(you can PM both me and SisterVigilante, if you want) - because the mod hasn't been released yet.

Due to the freakishly warm weather (and having young children who wanted to take advantage of it), I haven't gotten as far as I had hoped, but I had no problem finding the newest additions to the temple area.

 

(ps - I know you asked for no console use, but I cannot play without boots of speed for the party ;-))

Okay, got another report from magrat. It seems like there's a mod conflict in the Temple District.

 

(Which is why I always, always use EXTEND_TOP for area scripts with necessary Continue()'s for certain cases, and recommend everyone to do the same. For once, I decided to go with EXTEND_BOTTOMs instead, and see what happens. Bah.)

 

I'll check this tonight.

I got ahead of myself and went to the temple district before going to the alter and Oyaji and Sakaki were not there. Went to alter and came back and they were. Not sure if that's suppose to make a difference or not.
