Baldur's Gate Graphics Overhaul for EET

Recommended Posts

So is there no one, who has some experience with .tis files, and knows how to fix stuff like this?

Suppose the original mod author is long gone...

Well, the mod author stated so himself.

Mod forum is here: http://www.shsforums.net/forum/641-bg-graphics-overhaul/

The full quote from the link is

THIS MOD IS NO LONGER SUPPORTED...

.. by the original author but there's plenty of side-forks e.g. for EET that are being actively supported by other people.

My own experience is that the mod is not compatible with EE/EET v2.3.

Unless some other evidence is found, it may be best to remove the mod from EET compatible mods?

You are mixing two mods:

Baldur's Gate Graphics Overhaul - http://www.shsforums.net/topic/57039-current-versions-download-links/

Baldur's Gate Graphics Overhaul for EET - https://gitlab.com/whiteagnus/bggoEET/

This one is working fine except the EE engine bug with lines

Sorry - this is not working with my install. I did another test with Baldur's Gate Graphics Overhaul for EET and the games crashes whenever I change to the area map view. Note that the last update of the mod was made several months prior to the release of v2.3.67.2 on which EET is based.

If it works for everybody else, that very perculiar problem is on my end and I am sorry if I cause confusion. It is the only graphical mod however that causes problems on my computer.

I had a number of issues with Baldur's Gate Graphics Overhaul for EET installed on BGT as I have reported even on this very thread.

In my case, there is green water on BGT and also problems with the map markers position on the minimaps: http://gibberlings3.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=27768&p=251228

And I have not even bothered reporting the misplaced tiles with the doors in the city of Baldur's Gate because they were reported already before.

So no, I'd say that there is no "safe" version of this to play on either the old or new engine.

It is a very sad thing indeed, considering that this modification was the one true graphic enhancement to the game.

It mainly improves the nighttime maps by adding lights, e.g. like light shining out through the doors and windows of various buildings. There was an issue with it causing artifacts on several modified maps however, as can be seen earlier in the thread. I don't think it was ever fixed.

Coming back to this, what's the status of the TIS-issue? Can we work around it by using PVRZ or is it still unsolvable due to engine limitations?

Edit: mm, it appears according to this thread there's still glitch-generating engine issues.

Very good news.

Weigo is working on a new version (3.0) of BGGO which will include full compatibility with EET and BGT. Hopefully he will be here in the near future to talk about it himself. The thread at SHS inaccessible, due to the Forum being down, as you probably know.
