Question about ARE Actor flag "Override script name"

What does the ARE Actor flag bit 3 (Override script name) actually do?

I can see a huge number of references in scripts to creatures using their ARE actor name instead of their CRE script name - even though the respective flag is not set (especially in IWD/IWD2).

Is it relevant only in specific games?

Could be IWD thing... I definitely don't remember it working without flag set in EEs.

Vanilla IWD works differently, that's sure. IIRC (but it was a long time ago), IWD doesn't need (doesn't use) the override flag for the 'override'.
