Shaitan
I take that's your thesis or dissertation? If so congrats on that, do you have to "defend" it? Cheers Link to comment

Andrea C.
You rule. However, you are not excused for not modding much recently j/k - congratulations on having had your thesis published! Link to comment
Wisp
Wow, congratulations! So where does this place you on the academic ladder? Doctor something, or higher? Link to comment
DavidW
Wow, congratulations! So where does this place you on the academic ladder? Doctor something, or higher? Doctor something. (I'm a lecturer at Oxford; my work webpage is at users.ox.ac.uk/~mert0130 if you're interested) Link to comment
Western Paladin
Wow! I've always been interested in quantum mechanics; I might have to buy this in my next Amazon shopping spree. Congratulations! Link to comment
Kulyok
Oh wow! That's so great! If your students play BG2, doubly so(although they probably don't have much time). Congratulations! Link to comment
Azazello
Dr. DavidW, congrats! You're the third person -- the bigg being another -- that I know of who finally "came out": admitting to being in such high level of academia. I'm sure we have a good handful of others. Thanks also for contributing valuable time to the community. You rule. However, you are not excused for not modding much recently j/k - congratulations on having had your thesis published! BigRob
Congratulations on the thesis publication David W, I guess that's a reasonable excuse for not modding for a while. Link to comment
Linguist in Training
That's awesome, and it is a valid excuse in my book. I doubt my (hopefully eventually existent) thesis will be publishable in such a format. Link to comment
Incantatar
Every time i look back into quantum physics a new interpretation seems to be the thing. First Kopenhagen , then everett, then string, then decoherence and now everett again. Link to comment
DavidW
String theory isn't an interpretation of quantum theory, it's a proposed theory within quantum theory. Decoherence is generally agreed not to solve the measurement problem by itself, though it does important technical work in the Everett interpretation. Link to comment
