Like you say, I'm hardly going to be unbiased. It's technical; you can probably get something out of it without formal physics training but you'll have to skip a lot of equations and take a fair amount on trust. If you're interested in philosophy of quantum theory but haven't studied it before, David Albert's Quantum Mechanics and Experience is a better place to start.
