DragonMaster Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 Hi folks, New here and just registered on the site. Love the game and Thaks Domi for bringing Kivan back. Needed a good bowman but didn't want to run one myself. Now Currently I've got Kivan of Shilmista beta v2 installed and just found out that beta version 4 is available. So I downloaded it to my pc. I've got some questions before I install it into the game. 1. If I run the install will it install over beta version2 or do I have to do a full un-insall of beta version 2 and than install the beta version4. 2. Do I have to start the game over from the beginning or can I continue from where I am currently at in the game? 3. Now I hate using a cleric and have had no use for them in any other game for which I've played. Now I'm finding out that I've got to have Aerie or cerand in the party to get a chance at getting Kivan's Wife why is that there? My pc is a fighter/mage/thief and can use any item for which is in the game due to the thief's High level ability "Use Any Item" Is there any way in which this can be changed to where I don't have to run with a cleric? 4. Do I have to have Aerie or cerand in from the beginning or can I pick one or the other of them up after going through spellhold and the Underdark? 5 Aphril is one of the ones locked up in spellhold if I rember correctly. When Do I talk to her when irenicus is going taking us through and introducing us to them and we come to her or when? There's no need to uninstall v2 first. 2. Do I have to start the game over from the beginning or can I continue from where I am currently at in the game? During the tour, Irenicus will go and wait at the next inmate after introducing one. You should have plenty of time to talk to Aphril. Link to comment

You do not need Aerie or Cernd to ressurect Deheriana. However to restore Deheriana and break her longing for Arvanaith (ie prevent her from dying on you), you need a strong healing presence in the party. If your PC has Cleric as one of his classes he will qualify to be such an influence (as well as Druid, Ranger and Paladin PC). 4. Do I have to have Aerie or cerand in from the beginning or can I pick one or the other of them up after going through spellhold and the Underdark? You can pick either of them up at any time if you are going via party NPC path, as long as they are in the party during the few hours window when Deheriana lives. Domi Posted June 19, 2005 Share Posted June 19, 2005 Hi DM, yes, you can continue from your saved game and your PC being one of the listed classes is sufficient. If PC is not one of these classes, then you need either Cernd or Aerie Link to comment

Now that I got a couple of clues on the Kivan mod. <G> BTW If you still need a beta tester with someone running with both Kivan and Soulefen<sp> in the party I'm still willing to do that there.
