Ascension problem- maybe it's SCS II?

Had a problem with ascension last battle.

Sendai, Mellisan and Abazigal (and maybe Seravok?) won't attack my party- only the summons and Balthazar who joined me. That's a bit too easy... and no fun. Is this normal? my party is heavy with the arcane and 4\6 of them have PfMW and other protections, maybe they won't attack 'till that's off?

Anyone run into this?

 

Plus, how do you kill yaga-shura? Anomen can't hit with harm, or maybe yaga needs to be hit with doom and greater malision first? maybe he has magic resistance? so much is going on that I can't really notice. And mind flayer form+time stop won't work. Btw, it won't work on any of the five. That's a shame.

 

I would be happy if you could answer my questions...

I have been told lately here that my install order is really wrong. So the question is- will doing the install right fix that AND be able to work with my already saved game?

NO.

Told this already:

 

After all that, I should be able to insert my saved game and everything will be alright?
Not likely, as your save game dialog file is stored and the reinstall makes the dialog use different strings in the modified files. You can use the Import Export, but that's pretty much where the use of the saved games end.

You can cheese Yaga by killing him via stat drain. also I'm not sure if he's immune to vorpals, you may try silver sword on him. Sarevok is absolutely amazing for the job.

but, in scs2 Yaga is (should be) totally immune to all of the stuff above. no worries, you still can cheese him via fighter/mage constantly refreshing pmfw and all of your fighters gangbang on him with potion of strenght/imp. haste-crit strike. flail of the ages destroys this guy!!

 

also, this is kinda spoilerish, but Yaga in Ascension is like totally immune to all damage at the start of the battle, but he should be losing a small percentage of hes resistances (like 5% or something) every round. you must be patient and concentrate more on defense.

also2, in my opinion this fight is really not that great because you are kinda forced to do "timestop-imp.aclarity-entire spellbook on yaga shura" thing and I really don't like it at all.

 

reinstall your game first lol
