Did you suffer brain damage recently? that screenshot shows Windows XP... Anyway, I seem to recall that the BG1 Widescreen doesn't work with all the localized versions of the game. That might be the issue. If you posted the file you were instructed to post rather than some ugly screenshot like you did I might be able to see if this is the case. EDIT: isn't pointlessly flaming people on the INTERWEB liberating... Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Did you suffer brain damage recently? that screenshot shows Windows XP... I wouldn't be so sure about that... but cause the Red Shield icon in the lower right corner(the second from the left) is the Windows Vista's security consol alarming it's not fully operational cause the User Account Control is off line, as it needs to be to get the WeiDU.exe to work at all... I think it's Vista, but. EDIT: isn't pointlessly flaming people on the INTERWEB liberating... Yes, yes it is, thanks. No offence taken. Link to comment

the bigg
[bgmain2.exe] loaded, 4923392 bytes My bgmain2.exe is 5042223 bytes; as such, you can't install WSM without using the English version of bg1. If you can't read English very well, you should consider getting BG2 (and optionally its expansion) and installing Tutu instead. Link to comment

Isaya
Obviously the file AREA020A.BIF or AREA020A.CBF is missing in the Data directory of your installation. You should ensure that you properly make a full installation. As far as I know, the 3 CD edition has an issue with the "full installation" option, at least the French version has (either "The Original Saga" or some "White Label" editions). The full installation fails to install two files: Area4100.bif and Area4300.bif. Maybe your game version (not French as I understand) may have its own issues. However I shall warn you before you try again. This sticky thread states that widescreen is not compatible with the 3 CD edition. This also means that WSM is not compatible with the 3-cd version of the game. Installing the 1.3.5512 path on the 3 CD edition is fishing for trouble. There is a huge rish this older patch is not able to handle the compressed bif files (cbf) used in the 3 CD edition (released much later). So you may be avoiding an installation failure just to jump into many crashes during the game due to that inability to read the cbf files. Link to comment
