Difficulty settings and affecting spawns

I know that higher difficulty settings in SOD affects monster spawns...on insane level, way more enemies spawn in some areas. However they dont seem to do anything in the BG 1 campaign. Is there a way to make higher difficulty settings affect spawns in the BG 1 campaign the way it does in SOD?

Note that this will not bring about the relatively massive enemy groups you get on SoD insane, but probably make a little bit of difference.

How does that mod work exactly? It doesnt explain the difference between the default spawn system and the mod spawn system.

If my memories serve well, it pops monster according to the number of characters in your team and their level.

The more you are in your team (and the higher level they are) the more you got monsters and the more powerful ones.
