BG1/BG1EE-only components are skipped for BG EET installations.

In my case:

  • Potions of Extra Healing
  • More realistic dogs and wolves
  • Dividing the NPC duos
  • Ensure Shar-Tell does not die during first encounter
  • Smarter Sirines and Dryads
  • Slightly more difficult Carrion Crawlers
  • Smarter Basillisks

All of the components were skipped because they were considered as BG1 only (while I was doing BG EET installation using Big World Installer).

Yeah, the code needs a small adjustment... just add eet to where you see bgee in a game_is.

Welcome to the sanity, you are free to search for the limit, it's out there, we drew it in the sand.
Here's how to install all the ... mods you ever really could want to Infinity Engine games. I removed the stable word from there as Roxanne began to add BS mods that are likely to break compatibility from the BWS.

Did you install it via BWS or manually?

If you use BWS, then SCS components are installed in the BG2EE part of the EET Install and the components applicable to BG1 will be installed after the BG1 resources are imported by the EET.

e.g see this from my EET weidu.log in BG2EE

~STRATAGEMS/SETUP-STRATAGEMS.TP2~ #0 #5060 // Ensure Shar-Teel doesn't die in the original challenge: v30 BWP fix + K4thos' EET compatibility

Look into your weidu-log in BG2EE to see if they were really skipped.

Hi. I installed it using BWS and checked weidu.log and yes, they were skipped.

I scrapped the installation thought so I don't have weidu.log anymore. Sorry!

Im having a bug. Flesh to stone and wizard/cleric contagion spells do not respect improved invisibility. I can cast these spells right through improved invis even though they are single target with no AOE.

I installed

bg2 fixes

widescreen

tobex

spell revisions

item revisions

scs (v30 compatible with spell rev)

Tweaks anthalogy

item randomizer

I then ran tweaks again because to uninstall two components:

-multi/dual classed clerics get bladed weapons

-remove locks and traps

On a side note i also got two rings of earth control (some error with item randomization mod).

My log:

Spoiler

Do you think it is an SCS bug or a spell revisions bug?

I checked, and Contagion has a "can target invisible" ToBEx flag.

Flesh to Stone does not, as far as I can see. But I looked at the SPWI version... maybe the DW# version does have that flag?

In any case it looks intentional... though I cannot tell you the why of it.

Easy enough to change them in NI, though, it's unchecking a single checkbox.

Faiths & Powers: Spell spheres and kit pack for priests and paladins
Might & Guile: Tweaks and kits for warriors and rogues
Scales of Balance: Game tweaks and rule overhauls
NPC_EE: More options for NPCs in BGEE, SoD, & BG2EE

My flesh to stone (SPWI604), disintegrate and finger of death all have this flag which allows them to attack improved invis. It is undocumented.

I have no idea why is that. Maybe it is intended but not documented. But maybe it is an actual bug with the "make antimagic attacks penetrate improved invisibility" component. Maybe it thinks that FoD, FtS, disint and contagion are antimagic attacks similar to secret word, pierce magic etc. Sometimes it feels overpowered with -5 and -6 save penalties. You use it right through invisibility.

Ok my install is actually bugged and i dont have the make antimagic attacks penetrate improved invisibility component activated. Secret word cant attack invisibility.

It definitely seems like there's not much point to Imp. Invisibility if you can target through it...

Your caster hasn't cast SR See Invisible, have you? That gives you opcode 193 which does let you target through Imp. Invisibility.

But i think it's more likely those spells simply have the flag set incorrectly.

I noticed that Carbos and Shank (and probably all Assassins) don't use their Poison Weapon ability if RR v4.92 is installed..... It seems they're scripted to use SPCL423.SPL (i.e., unmodded Poison Weapon) instead of FL#TAS02.SPL.... Since previous versions of RR modified the Poison Weapon ability of Blackguards along with that of Assassins, now Assassins use FL#TAS02 (i.e., a new .SPL file) ----> The problem is that Carbos and Shank have FL#TAS02 memorized but are scripted to use original SPCL423, so they basically don't use Poison Weapon.....

Trying to install SCS on new download of BG2 but keep getting these install error, failing to initialize AI, all other components require this or something like that. I have tried everything I have seen online, including BWS but nothing seems to work. Is there anyway to get SES to work on the new version of BG2?
