I got this error when tried to install Separate Resist Fire/Cold Portrait Icon into Separate Icons:

ERROR: illegal 2-byte read from offset 362 of 362-byte file T-ABIBLK.ITM

ERROR: [T-ABIBLK.ITM] -> [override/T-ABIBLK.ITM] Patching Failed (COPY) (Failure("T-ABIBLK.ITM: read out of bounds"))
Stopping installation because of error.

Will uninstall 32 files for [CDTWEAKS/SETUP-CDTWEAKS.TP2] component 2010

Probably not Anthology fault though, maybe item in question is wrongly coded or whatever.

Also I think Khalid's hit points from "Khalid fighter-mage" component are messed up, if he starts F/M level 2/1 he should have more than measly 12 points. Fighters 10 + mage 4 / 2 + 3 constitution gives him 10 starting hp. If we assume that he got really bad roll on his fighter level up of only 1 hp he should still had minimal of 13 when his constitution bonus is added ( extra 2 hit points ). For the record, on mage level up he got 3 hp putting him currently at 15 hp for level 2/2.

If you can provide a copy of t-abiblk.itm I can take a look.

For Khalid, I think we're in a reasonable range for the most part. Fighter levels would give ((1d10+3)/2) per level and mage ((1d4+2)/2) per level. For the four f/m Khalid versions we have:

  • Level 2/1, range 4-13 + 1.5-3, actual 12 HP from a range of 5.5-16, 75% of maximum/218% of minimum.
  • Level 3/2, range 6-19.5 + 3-6, actual 19 HP from a range of 9-25.5, 75% of maximum/211% of minimum.
  • Level 4/3, range 8-26 + 4.5-9, actual 24 HP from a range of 12.5-35, 69% of maximum/192% of minimum.
  • Level 5/5, range 10-32.5 + 7.5-15, actual 35 HP from a range of 17.5-47.5, 74% of maximum/200% of minimum.

I've bumped up the 4/3 Khalid up to 26 HP so that it matches the 75/200 trend with the others.

As for Khalid's hit points, I tried to investigate exact formula for multi class hit points. I found several ( sometimes contradictory ) explanations. If Khalid's hit points roll as you wrote ( random roll of 1-10 + 3 / 2 for fighter and RR of 1-4 + 2 / 2 for mage classes ) then indeed it is possible for him to roll only 2hp on first fighter level up. One formula specified that constitution hp always give bonus as follows: constitution of 17 for fighter/other multiclass always split hp bonus flat for 2 hp for fighter and 1hp for other class. Hence my confusion on the matter. Thanks for reply and explanation.

Right... not so. Level 1 fighter character ALWAYS gets not a 1d10, but 10 hit points(+Con bonus). Which is 5+2+CON(+3) for Khalid. So having Khalid at 12 hps is not even the lowest the char can get at level 2/1, as it's a fighter level he gets...

As that's 10/2+4/2+1d10/2+CON(3+2) = 13-17 hitpoints, ps there's no 0.5 hitpoints cause the game rounds up the first half because the CON also dictates the minimum HP gain from the dice roll, at least in the 2ed rules, which is 1.

How have we fallen so low that not even you know the basic rules of the game ?

Yeah, this has an incorrect index on its ability header. It has two global effects, which means the effects attached to its melee header start at index 2, not 3 as set in the file.

It's consistent with max HPs at level one, but implies a very poor roll for his second fighter level. I'll bump up the lowest incarnation to 14HP, consistent with a second level roll of 5 (instead of the current 1). It's still a little low, but more consistent with other NPCs.
