Domi
Well, you know I collect those 'for future use' notes. I was wondering how do I do a dialogue/banter sequence that does not get interrupted by the switch between SoA/ToB, the way Sola's Romance does? Will copying dialogues in both SoA and '25' ToB dialogue file do the trick? Will both LOCALS and GLOBALs transfer? Or? Link to comment

You could either keep the same DLGs assigned throughout SOA and TOB (which is what Solaufein does), or simply keep using the same variable counters, yes. LOCALS do carry over in the transition, so in theory you could (let's say) simply use one LOVETALK variable in both portions of the game. Note that this doesn't work especially well for banter, however, because the OTHER NPCs have their DLGs changed at the transition. Link to comment
Domi
So I guess, I can keep the player sequence, but will need to say Chao to the banters, unless I create a second copy of the banters and replace DLG names for other NPCs but keep LOCALs the same? Link to comment
jcompton
Yes, that sort of duplication would work. Link to comment
jastey
Do I understand "LOCALS do carry over in the transition" the way that GLOBALs are not taken over from SoA to TdB? And does it mean LOCALS of every transferred NPC? Link to comment

No, global variables come across from SOA to TOB, too. Where are you getting this? Link to comment
Domi
It's TUTU to SoA that carries LOCALS over, but not GLOBALs according to Sim's research Here, I am just taking notes for my SoA/ToB mod. Want to have an uninterrupted core romance and banters. Link to comment
jastey
@jcompton: I thought for a moment the meaning of your post was that LOCALS do carry over but GLOBALs don't (from SoA to ToB). Glad to hear GLOBALs do, too. Link to comment
