Ser Elryk
From what I can tell, it hasn't been updated in over a month. I hope the people who normally work on it are just taking a break (which would be understandable) and haven't abandoned it. It's my understanding that K4thos has disappeared again, as well... Just makes me nervous (terrified!) for the future of BWS, EET, IWD-in-EET, etc. Simpletons like me rely heavily on the BWS! XD Has anyone heard from either K4thos or the BWS folks? Thanks in advance =) Link to comment
AWizardDidIt
I'm not sure about BWS but I think I've seen K4thos posting in another thread on g3 not too long ago so he's probably around. Link to comment
Jarno Mikkola
Well, as you can see from this post, ALIENQuake is ending his involvement with the project... and the others have been away from it, unfortunately. Link to comment

At least for BWS it looks pretty bad... http://www.shsforums.net/topic/56670-big-world-setup-an-attempt-to-update-the-program/?p=594820 K4thos has been away for longer terms in tthe past and re-appeared, so there is still hope. Still, a growing mod number makes EET installs more complex, so without BWS??? Some mods even now require fixpack which may be gone as well. Link to comment

And I'm about to be without easy internet access for the next 6 months or so. I hope when I get reconnected that I'll find the BWS resurrected and EET (& IWD-in-EET) in great shape. Link to comment

Maybe it is not such a bad idea to do some big EET install while things are still working (lust in case). The current BWS version is already having trouble with some mods that have been updated meanwhile (and thus already contain former fixpack contents). This will not improve. I am happy to have done a very large (and working) install just two weeks ago and I will surely keep this secure for a long time now - it may not get any better for some time. Link to comment
bob_veng
so a number mods will keep getting updated but it will practically only cause more and more problems, since an average user of mods is now dependent on BWS. this absurd situation has to be overcome asap Link to comment
Lundar
Hello, thats really bad; I still have no SoD (waiting for a special offer...), so I cannot install EEt atm. Also some (wanted) mods are still not compatible with EET. (thats what I was waiting for...) So it seems, I can forget about EET complettely ;-((( Is there no one who will/can volonteer to do the work, or at least do some workarounds for known problems .... ? Its a real pity.,... I will never be able to play Sandrah on EET ;-((( PS: Is there a weidu.log around for a complete recommended Installation ? Link to comment

I have none for a *recommended* installation but I have one that works, has most stuff compatible with EET in it and has no - yet - know incompatibility issues, so it may be of use (you can streamline it to your liking) To be installed on BGEE prior EET WeiDU-BGEE.log To be installed on BG2EE WeiDU.log Link to comment
Roxanne
In case the situation turns out as badly as one may fear, I consider to provide a workaround, even if not as sophisticated and automated as BWS. More in the way of a tutorial containing all known up-to-date links for making a workable EET install. It could explain the procedure, available mods, install sequence, advice for patching mods etc a bit like an EET variation of the BWP manual. Downside of it would be that I can do it only for an english install, the procedure itself will be manual, it will not consider basic-tactical-recommended variations. But maybe there will be some helpers to contribute their experience with EET installs. Anyway, this is just a consideration at the moment and yet too early for decisions. DO NOT PANIC! jastey
Lundar, ET only works with SoD, you don't have it, so what are you lamenting about? Link to comment
lynx
Come on, the mod info for BWS and its fixpack is all on github and there's nothing really arcane about it. The community could easily pick up the slack. In fact, it would be even better if modders notified the fixpack people themselves or even submitted the patches (file deletions) necessary. Mods that are hosted on github have largely been updated in bws to track the latest release automatically, so in that case only the fixpack needs tweaking as changes get incorporated back upstream, if any. AWizardDidIt
It's a bummer about BWS but the mod community has been pretty resilient so far. I'll be the voice of optimism here and say that I'm sure it'll all be ok Link to comment
