small bugs in SR v4beta13

Prof Errata

Recommended Posts

I’ve just remarked 3 bugs in the last version of SR.(v4beta13):

- the Find Familiar spell - level 1 arcane - doesn’t work, despite of the fact it’s placed in the Specific Specialities bar (F12)

- Mestil’s Acid Sheath - level 5 arcane - is repeated twice in the list; the spell with the Protection from fire icon protects actually against fire, and it’s the second spell with shield-like icon that is the right spell

- the icon of the Summon Shambling Mound - level 7 druid - is the Monster Summoning IX’s one

Note. I hope you’ll be kind about my average English, it isn’t my native language…

- very strange because I haven't touched the spell itself, I've only moved it from the spellbook to innates. I'll look into it.

- did you installed "Remove Disabled Spells from Spell Selection Screens"?

- fixed thanks (I didn't noticed the old bam was using a previously unused filename that I now use for MSIX spell)

Sorry, but what does that mean ?

Cause call me crazy, but the spell has both spell type(headers 0x001c) and spell location (extended headers 0x0002). Of course you might have forgotten one or the other and so you refer to non existent thing probably. As you have to edit the .spl file to do either. Yeah, an added innate spell reference in the kit clabxxx.2da -file doesn't work if it refers to a mage spell.

Didn't want to start a new topic since it seems to be a minor issue, but I noticed that on character creation the Shaman-specific spell "Spirit Ward" seems to be a valid pick for both clerics and druids. Is that intended?

It has been reported and fixed. :) A new build will be up very soon but I want to squeeze in a few new spells before uploading it. ;)

I don't know if this is a bug, connected to SR but every time I try to cast Magical Stone spell I got CTD with error message:

"An Assertion failed in ObjAnimation.cpp at line number 23846"

Expression: bAttackProb[0] == FALSE && bAttackProb[1] ==FALSE && bAttackProb[2] ==FALSE Message: (null)

@Serg BlackStrider

it seems that you just install mods without consider all requirements/incompatibilites for mods/components. This is how you lists looks in BWS (red are conflicts, orange are missing components):

also i think that you install order is not quite correct. Also "TuTu". Last thing: it's not te right thread to report such bug.

My wild guess is Infinity Animations. It works fine on EE and my BGT install (w/o IA). If you have changed your PC's appearance to dwarf_mage_low or similar (and you should!) try changing it back.

Yes, I have my PC's appearance as L_Dwarf_Mage (vanilla BG1 character animation from Infinity Animations and the main reason I'm using this mod). Changing it to Dwarf_Mage indeed solved the problem (thanks for the tip!) but I'm not going to stop using IA (I would rather not use SR Magical Stone spell, sorry, Demi...).

@ALIENQuake: Sorry for derailing this thread but I have similar setup for BG2:

in which I mostly finished a completionist no-reload run without any issues (the only differences of it from my current setup are sans-SR and only base IA - mainly restored BG1 character animations). I'm using Tutu+SCS v.21+IA for years without problems and even though I've bought both BGEE and BG2EE I don't find them visually appealing...
Sorry again if I post in the wrong place, seems I'm doomed to stick with what I have.

Hahahahaha.....

Yea, I'd also use that incredible animations tbh :thumbsup: . I don't think you'll have much issues with your install order either. If ToBex changes anything that SR does so it's incompatible, SCS will fix it without you even knowing- I reckon your game will run just fine. :)

4th level Protection from Elemental energy doesn't work since 2da file doesn't get copied over. Likewise, it's fairly case-sensitive so lines must be aligned. Icon used is wrong, and Pro Fire (on select menu) uses Pro Cold icon.

- ? If you are talking about the 2da it looks fine with TextPad

- both fixed
