Aerie ogre form disappears

This might be a problem from another mod, try to cheat her to join your group with the CLUAConsole... as if she isn't even 1level sorcerer you know something is severely ... off.

It also would be good if you open up the WeiDU.log with any text editor and copy paste the content to a post... as that way we can try to trace the problem.

i have the basic stuff core->ans->tactics->fixpack->tweakpack->npc1lvl(installed last)

With faketalk i was able to prevent the ogre from leaving, while the rest of the party acquired the key, and then Aerie joined successfully. She was idd lvl1 sorc, all ok, but missed the assigned spells.

Oh i see. Thank you. I assumed the main page hosted the latest version(wouldnt that be logical? ) On a related note i would like to thank Nythrun for making such a nice mod, really hated all this SK tweakery. :)

Nope didnt help. Deinstalled, then deleted the old version. Installed the new one. log reads:

~LEVEL1NPCS/LEVEL1NPCS.TP2~ #0 #0 // Nythrun's Level One NPCs, Version 1, Nov 28, 2007: List party-joinable NPCs (required to install any other components)

~LEVEL1NPCS/LEVEL1NPCS.TP2~ #0 #1201 // Aerie

The ogre does have different colors (correct this time) but still walks away and disappears. Mighty strange.

You would think so - it should be fixed soonish (was waiting for a response from cmorgan on something but anyway, site should have latest version).

Did you start a new game after the reinstall? NPCs and the like are stored in your saved game.

Also, I think ToB-Style NPCs and Level 1 NPCs do pretty much the same thing, right? I don't know if there's a conflict if you install both, but no real need to install both either.

Mb the better question would be if anyone has successfully changed Aerie.

She is freely changeable from where i load the game, which is the first interior circus area.

Sigh. Not with the beta version, which is still taking effect if you didn't start a new game. It even says you need to do this up front in the readme.

This is not what the readme says, it says

: Any NPC you've modified who has joined the party won't revert to normal upon uninstalling the mod. The saved game will permanently store the changes. Thus, you must start a completely new game to undo the changes.

This is a general game behavior for just about everything and every mod. Like said Aerie will revert to normal if uninstalled and loaded from a save where she is not "loaded" yet. However the dirty code probably still remained, inactive, and reactivated itself during reinstall. The better wording for the readme would be: "The mod only allows you to alter NPCs one time per started game."

But yes, this seems to be it, thanks.

That isn't quite true either, as it does not let you alter NPCs at all in saved games. It should probably say something like "Any NPC you've modified in an area you've visited won't revert to normal upon uninstalling the mod..." etc.

No no, the readme misses to point out that Aerie cannot be further changed from a sorc to say a thief. Even if you never been in that area. Anyway incidentally i had to start a new game and version 1 didnt fix that either. Sorcerer Ogre-Aerie now has correct colors, correct dialog(new in v1), correct spell assignment(new in v1) but still runs away.

Im inclined to think this is a bug. Still waiting to see one who has successfully changed Aerie w/o problems.

I tested this with v1.1 and made her a sorcerer successfully. The only glitch I noticed is she has 3 each of the spells I picked, when I think it should be one each. Also she does not have any "known" spells aside from those - isn't a sorcerer supposed to know all spells at each level?

Then I reinstalled the Aerie component and made her a thief (swashbuckler). No problems there. I went to the circus and freed her and she joined just fine with the thief abilities she should have. No running away or anything... I think that might be a component of another mod you have or something. Does it happen without L1NPCs installed at all? Make sure you start a new game or at least start from a game before you went inside the circus tent.
