Immortality
I posted this at the bgt forums, thinking it was my crappy install, but it turns out it happens to more people with different things than me installed. I finished all the nashkel mines quest. The dude in the mines tell me "thanks, and btw, speak to the mayor for your reward". I speak to the mayor, i get the xp and stuff, he dissappears, but i sill have the quest flagged as active in my journal. We are using the Clan DLAN test version of the BG1NPC. Thx! Link to comment
Miloch
BG1 NPC just changed over to solved/unsolved journal entries in the last release, but... is this a BG1 NPC quest? Sounds like a quest in the unmodded game... Link to comment
Immortality
Its the quest in the "unmodded" game. However we are both using BGT and BG1NPC, the clan dlan version cmorgan created some days ago. That's why we were wondering if it might be a BG1NPC bug. Link to comment
cmorgan
I will take a look at it this weekend, if I can. Journal behavior is not standard across the project yet, as EasyTutu just finished up standardizing Journal entries and before that it was not so important. That is on the worklogs for this summer, though. Link to comment
Immortality
Yes, i think then it means the quest was resolved correctly, and probably thats just the quests journal being silly, but just in case!! And about tutu and stuff, we, in the Spanish community encourage people to use BGT over any kind of tutu (tutuv4 or easytutu) because BGT allows female lines to exist, and tutu doesnt, and that is extremely important in spanish versions of the game and mods... Thx!!! EDIT: The whole Nashkell quest thing is described here: http://www.shsforums.net/index.php?s=&...st&p=393204 (from this post onwards) Link to comment
cmorgan
Looks like this is UB, but will follow up. Immortality, you PM'ed me about a parse error in BGT on Spanish installs that worked anyways? Could you link it, because v16 rolls out live in a matter of hours... I have no error on BGT with an english dialog.tlk. Link to comment
Immortality
Yes, guys, im sorry for the wrong report. Its definitely a UB thing. I reinstalled everything, also UB, without the vials quest, and now the nashkel thing is solved 100%. So... sorry! cmorgan: this is the warning: http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?s...st&p=122668 Thx!! Link to comment
Miloch
Slightly off topic but who cares... And about tutu and stuff, we, in the Spanish community encourage people to use BGT over any kind of tutu (tutuv4 or easytutu) because BGT allows female lines to exist, and tutu doesnt, and that is extremely important in spanish versions of the game and mods...Is this really true? I'm going through a BG1/Tutu German translation right now that has the male and female strings one after the other, for example:@10 = ~Hach, es macht mich stolz, einen jungen Abenteurer...~~Hach, es macht mich stolz, eine junge Abenteurerin...~ Note the second one isn't @11, so there are two strings with one reference. I'm not sure the engine can handle it actually, so we might have to drop the second string . How do you handle it in the BGT .tra files? Link to comment
Guest jastey*
It should be no problem to install two-string versions on Tutu. At least I never had a problem to install my German versions on Tutu. Immortality, are you talking about dialogf.tlk not existent, i.e. female version not showing in the game? I never noticed, but then I never really looked for it, either. Link to comment
Immortality
Hey! Yes, male female lines as described above. They dont work in tutu. When playing tutu, the player only gets the male line, and not the female. Thats why everyone is using BGT instead... Link to comment
jastey
Funny, I never noticed. Could be because I mainly playtested English mods, though. Link to comment
cmorgan
We could check this with the bigg, perhaps - there is no reason I know of why the standard engine stuff would not work on Tutu installs, if a dialogf.tlk does exist. It could be that the Tutu converter just isn't picking it up. We are using the double-tra line thing in the Spanish materials, right? Because if it installs right on Tutu with the Spanish translations then the engine is doing its job (or at least WeiDU is doing its job...) (Doesn't matter for EasyTutu, as it is an English Language Only install). Link to comment

It could be that the Tutu converter just isn't picking it up.I think it's more of an engine thing than a WeiDU thing. Maybe Ascension64 would have an idea? I'd still like to know why BGT would be different, since it uses the same engine as Tutu. Maybe A64 has built some sort of workaround, which could be pilfered for Tutu... Link to comment
jastey
And while you are at it, please make Tutu7 that supports other than English languages. Thank you. Link to comment
Immortality
cmorgan: Yes, we are using female lines in the spanish translation, because they DO work correctly (like a charm) with BGT. I dont really know what the deal is with tutu, maybe they fixed that issue, but really, that was the reason why everyone in the sp community changed to use BGT-Weidu instead... and, as said, it works like a charm.
